  • Well, there's a specific section of the forum for roleplaying called the Roleplay Theatre.

This thread here is a great place to start out, as it contains the rules and guidelines for the forums. After that you'll need to look through the forums for a roleplay you'd like to participate in. Of course, RPing itself requires a decent understanding of collaborative writing to really do. It's difficult to get into for those that have a hard time with details and correct grammar.
Role Playing in it's simplest form is playing pretend. You are pretending to be someone else as an escape from reality. It takes the form of writing, sort of like writing a book. You write with others, each controlling other characters. Together, multiple roleplayers write a collaborative story.
Nnno... I specialize in the role playing section of the forums. To my knowledge ROM hacking is a very complicated process, not something that is easy to learn or do. Unfortunately unless a mentor specifically states they can teach you ROM hacking, they probably can't. vwv

What you probably want to do is look around the ROM hacking hub for someone who is willing to teach you personally.

Within the "ROM hacking hub" board is the "Beginner's Lounge" sub-board. I recommend you stop over at the Beginner's Lounge and read some of the stickied threads at the top such as the 'Board Guidelines' (Useful), 'Board Rules' (Always Important), and the 'Useful Links' thread, which contains a lot of useful tools you can start playing with if you're the type that can learn on your own. There are also several help threads in the beginner's lounge for specific types of problems you may run into.

If you don't learn well on your own I recommend posting in the 'Quick Questions & Answers' thread. I -believe- that you should be able to explain you need personal help learning and ask for a tutor there.
I'd love to! Is there anything I can help you with to start off with? c:
