  • Hmmm, that's an interesting problem. I see what you mean though. Because it is a solo challenge, I really don't want you fighting Agatha with other Pokemon, since to beat her, you would have to have them leveled to like 50 at least. So, I will allow the following...

Because he can learn the move in later generations, I will allow you to hack in the move Earthquake against Agatha. Sound fair? He learns it for sure in Gen IV, don't know about III.

Problem 2: It isn't the same for every single challenge, but for almost all of the main ones (solos and monotypes included) the endpoint is the second time through the Elite Four (first time you fight Alder or whatever his name is).
I haven't updated the Solo Thread in quite a while because Jdthebud and I have sort of been racing to finish all the Ultimate Monotypes, so that's been demanding almost all of my life. But, I try to update it once a month or so.
Although technically there is no rule in place saying you absolutely have to have more than one Pokemon, its just sort of understood. Nobody's really done it with just one pokemon, or else everyone who has done a solo challenge would have to be added into the champion list for Monotype. Same thing applies to if you use just like a Pidgeot and Fearow. You wouldn't get credit for both Normal and Flying. Although it doesn't technically say "you are not allowed credit for 2 monotypes if all the pokemon you use share the same two types with each other", it would be really frowned upon.

However, I'll use myself as an example, something you can do is: use 2 or more copies of the same Pokemon. Like for Ghost on Sapphire, I went through the entire game with two Sableyes. It didn't count as a solo, since I used multiple Pokemon, but it counted for a Monotype. I, however, did not give myself credit for also completing a Dark Monotype, just the Ghost one.

Another thing that you can do (that I sort of frown upon, but I did it, so shame on me) is: play through a game using two Pokemon, but after 6 or so gyms, give one of them up and only train one of them. I beat the Ground Mono in Yellow with just a Nidoking and a Nidoqueen. The Nidoking ended at like level 68, however, the Nidoqueen was only like 45.

    Hope this helps.
lol well im going to slow down for now but lol im respected!! SWEET! and k ill just say i did it with soandso from now on cuz now im at school and im not spending all day on my Computer anymore. BTW just call me FOFS
Fire, I respect the speed at which you run through challenges. Finally, someone who is at my level! Might I recommend all the challenges, and not just the solo ones?

Also, concerning your solo challenges, don't worry about posting the actual update, you can just say "Hey Myrrh, I did it with Jynx and Tauros" instead of telling me the actual update part; for mine, I just update myself in the OP.
    Why yes imma do challenges!
gonna give me something to do for the rest of summer.
Thx for offering help but I think I understand most of everything in the challenges.
But if I ever do need something I guess im reffereing to you.
