Hi. I see that you added me before I even got the chance to message you. Lol what a coincidence. I can't really battle just yet as I am still trying to build a team. But I can still help you find any pokemon you need. I'm still trying to find my pokemon as well so hopefully we can help each other out. I look forward to battling and trading with you

Well, you are speaking to a gay man now. And I hope our interactions are respectful, even if we might disagree on certain things. There are some in the LGBT community, I agree, who are overly aggressive, and seem to rub people the wrong way by getting in their faces. I try not to be one of those. I am slightly effeminate, I admit, but I don't go about announcing my sexual orientation to the world, and only talk about it when asked, or when something I think is important comes up.

I am the reverse of you. I find the thought of having sex with someone of the opposite sex more than just a little disturbing. Although, probably, unlike you, I have actually been with someone of the opposite sex intimately. It wasn't for me. See, I'm not a person who just asks others to try and broaden their horizons. I try to do it myself.

I hope we can continue to engage in some interesting, and sometimes spirited, conversations in the future.

Nice post on the bigotry thread, I agree that I am limiting myself. However, the majority of my interactions with LGBT people regarding their views have not been positive. On the internet it is also more difficult to relate, I would rather not be friends with them due to this.

If I had a real friend who came out to me as gay after our friendship developed I would be less likely to distance myself from them. It depends how they do it. Advocates or people overly effeminate and attention seeking with their sexuality are annoying, just as straight men can be, except at least I can relate to their desires. I also have an innate and childish distate of the thought of sexual attraction to men, as a straight man it's icky.

    Then I'll stand by mine.

A lovely thank you for not even trying to show what my supposed ignorance is though. I do, however, believe that your mindset is really harmful and only helps perpetuate straight people to not take the gay population seriously. There are wonderful things that we experience, and to share those with your loved ones is a good thing, but to apply that to the term coming out is wrong because it aids to help re-define something that is still an incredibly important notion for gay people today. Whether you think it should be unimportant or not is trivial, it is important and I think it's part of the responsibility of everybody to make sure that people understand this.

I was being sincere and heartfelt. Your post is insanely uncalled for and inappropriate. I've toned myself back (if that wasn't obvious enough). If you want to have a discussion you can, but talk to me like that again and I'll tell you to shove it.
