  • No worries, I understand :D

Okay, I'll start with emblems since they're way easier. Basically an emblem is a sort of award on the forum. You'll get them for doing various things like being active in certain sections, helping out staff members, achieving certain milestones, winning competitions, and quite a lot of other ways. They don't mean anything but they're fun to collect and show other people what you've been up to. :3

Signatures are the at the bottom of every post you make. To make a signature, click the "User CP" tab in the bar at the top of the page and click "Edit Signature". You can use this space for whatever you'd like tbh - you could include anything from friend codes, members you talk to, places you visit a lot, things you're interested in, images, anything you'd like! Just make sure it follows the rules here c: If you're not sure how to make one or you'd like a fancy signature, I own a signature shop where you can request them for free so just post here if you'd like one. :D
Usually you just choose your favourite Pokémon of that type. For example in a Poison type club, you'd choose your favourite Poison type Pokémon, or in a club about the Vulpix/Ninetails family, you'd choose either Vulpix or Ninetails based on which you prefer. They don't really play any roll in the club other than as sort of a trophy saying "Hey guys, I like this Pokémon!" So don't worry if you choose one you aren't too keen on - you won't have to do anything with it in the future. x]

Any more questions to ask or are you ready to join your first club? c:
I'm not sure what else you'd need for now, so let's get started with clubs! :D

So I see you haven't posted in any clubs yet; I think it's time we change that! :D First off, it's important to choose a club about something you're really interested in, otherwise its hard to keep interested and keep posting in them. For your first club, I suggest you join one based on your favourite Pokemon type. You can find a list of all the currently active clubs by clicking here, so choose one you like and take a look at it. c:
The most important part of any club is the first post of the club. The first post contains a list of the club's members, information about the club, rules, sign-up forms, and often trivia or challenges to take part in too. For example, take a look here at the Poison type club's first post to see what I mean.
Before you join any club, it's important that you take a look at the sign-up form. This is always found in the first post of the club, and you're advised to post it in the thread before posting in a club. Have a look at some people's first club posts here, here, here and here to get a feel of what I mean. Another important part of clubs is that they always have a 'Current Topic', which is what the discussion at the time is focused around. Some clubs change this topic once a day, some will change it a lot less frequently, but it's important to try and answer the topics when they're given and keep discussions related to them - although as long as you keep all of your posts about Pokemon then a little off topic stuff is okay. :3

So hopefully that should be enough information to get you started in Pokemon Clubs - we can tackle some other sections when you're comfortable with this one. ^^ If you're at all interested in owning and running your own club, then make sure you tell me and I'll take you through the whole process of club creation and ownership.

Also of course if you have any questions about anything else in the forum, feel free to ask! Stuff like making signatures, VMs/PMs, the infraction system, emblems; all this kind of stuff can be confusing at first so make sure you give me a shout if you need help at all. ^^
Okay, awesome! :D So before we start, what exactly are you interested in doing? I know you'd like to get to know Pokémon Clubs, but is there anything else you'd like to know alongside that? Once I know what you'd like to do, I'll help you get to grips with the Pokémon Clubs section :D
Hi! :D I've just finished all my exams and now I'm free for the whole Summer, so it's time to start our mentoring! c:

First off, I noticed your Visitor Messages (VM) conversation with Undefeatable - It's great that you're meeting new people this early but when you reply to a VM, you're supposed to reply on their profile not your's xD To do this, click the "View Conversation" link at the side of their VM.

And then you'll be brought to a page with your conversation which is where you reply so that they can see it. If you reply on your own page then it's unlikely they'll get to see the VM unless they go looking for it :3

Okay so first off we need to decide how we'll communicate! :D I don't mind using VMs, PMs (private messages), MSN, IRC (an internet based instant-messaging chat, I can link you to the Pokémon Clubs channel if you want :D), Skype, or really any other way you can think of. Just tell me which you'd prefer and I'll contact you ASAP :D
lol not a problem! I was actually worrying that you meant 4th gen! =] umm... slight problem tho, i checked my box, and i don't have a Lucario that i can breed a riolu with. I just have the one Riolu. However, I have multiple Eevee's so that's fine. I'm currently tryin to evolve that Riolu if you're willing to wait.
