Yeah, I don't have to, but I felt there should be some form of baddies to take down.
Well, treasure hunters are sort of the new 'thing', their about just as common as trainers. You and two other best friends bought a building in Ecruteak as sort of a 'team HQ'. Some locations come from people, or the news stand, which is exclusive to Ecruteak City. It can feed you information regarding the region, treasure, or recent happenings.
Treasure will vary, sometimes it's just something to be sold for a small profit, sometimes treasure has ties to another treasure. Ultimately, there's one set of treasure that is sort of the 'dream' of most treasure hunters. The Indigo League will be available, so Gyms are still around. You still have to beat Gyms for badges so you can use HMs, but the League Cup itself is a sort of side quest.
And for finding treasure, there will be puzzles and battles. Sometimes you'll go home with your head down, empty handed because somebody beat you to it. Life ain't fair.
Not really a pirate. Think of it as the 'rescue teams' from mystery dungeon, except you aren't helping people, and you're human. Sick as in the good sick, or the 'ew that vomit is sick' sick?
What 'drives' the game per se, is finishing off Team Rocket once and for all. Team Rocket has had it's third resurrection with a defined leader (if you recall back to GSC, there really was no leader).
While Team Rocket is overused, the only reason I'm using it is because they were in Johto. I would find it unlikely for a new team to go to Johto after Team Rocket was disbarred.
Their main goal is to establish roots in Johto, hopefully corrupting the superiors of the region in their favor. They do take part in getting treasure, but only for financial purposes.
And there might just be a legendary involved. But that's a story for another day. Hopefully.
That's quite...different. Points for originality. What happened to it?
It takes place in Johto, not so much as the Newbark Town starting blah blah. I'm not aiming for a remake. You start in Ecruteak, and you start by collecting information about locations of treasure, then you start the hunt.
This is going to be Johto a couple years later, so things have changed. Cianwood has expanded, Cherrygrove has new buildings, etc.
I'm also implementing new islands off the coast of Johto. While this distorts the geography of the real region, this is only a fan game. New areas will have their names similar to Johto's, e.g. some places may have a color in the word. (Examples being Violet, Ecruteak, etc).
Well I couldn't put everything there yet since thiese last two weeks were one of the busiest in my life xD, but I already got most of it done. I'll pm you what I've got so far now.
