50-50 doesn't account for the remake having better critical acclaim. I'm inclined to think the portion of the fanbase that likes the initial game's mechanics might be masochists.

Thank you! ;D It's time to take over every forum again, kekeke.

Well, the remakes do apparently address some fan grievances with the originals, so there's that.

ReBirth 1 seems to be far more critically acclaimed, looking it up. Though that's not hard when the Metacritic aggregate score for the original is 45/100.

    Both are platforms I have.

I'd probably have better luck finding a copy of one of the PS3 titles in my area.

Lol it's impossible to lose this game.

Oh well, more trophies for my PSN!

Having played through 130 days of Neptune's story (most of it spent dinking around trying to learn what each mechanic does and beating the "baddies"), it feels like a lot of fanservicey character fluff (although I bet the main games are fanservicey as hell in a different way, lol; not that this game doesn't feel that way sometimes). It also makes Neptune seem like a prototypical airheaded genki girl.

The world it's set in seems to have a lot of potential as a story setting and I might pick up a game if I can find one and find room in my budget in the near future.

I also named my character after a hip-hop group (Pretty Ricky, or as much of it as would fit in the name space), and that makes it highly amusing for that alone to me.

Also, I can kinda infer what the series setting is like from what I have had presented before me. It's not like I don't have any imagination.

And it's not like the characters don't interact with each other.

NePP is a spin-off for fans that have knowledge about the series.
Since it's an idol simulator, you won't see the true essence of Neptunia games.
You should start with ReBirths ;)
I'll play what I have in my possession first.

If not for me constantly deleting stuff to maintain my collection to a size I can fit in my HDD, I would've had a 3TB collection right now at the very least. Sadly I only have a 1TB hard disk. :(

About Me

  • About Satoshi Ookami
Hi. I'm pokemon fan from Czech Republic. The main reason why I joined PC is ROM hacking. I've always been playing but thanks to PC I can even make my own hack.

    Off biography.
    Move camera script
    #org @start
    special 0x113
    applymovement 0x7F @move
    waitmovement 0x0
    special 0x114

    #org @move
#raw (these can be any movements as long as it comes back to the user)* * = If the camera moves 3 up, then 2 left, then the camera MUST return to it's orignal postion.

The special 0x113 and special 0x114 are the most important part of the script. The script is relying on it, so, no special 0x113 or 0x114's, no Move Camera Scripts.

This is almost like the command "lock" except it locks every person on the map.

    Special 0x113
This makes the player be frozen. And any other people should be as well.

    Applymovement 0x7F @move
Applymovement = Applymovement, but the 7F tells the game we are moving the Camera instead of people. The movements are the same as if you were moving people.

    Special 0x114
This releases the 'Special 0x113' if this is not present, then you can't move at all

Kinda like 'release' except it releases all people on the map

    writebytetooffset 0x3 0x2026B01
    writebytetooffset 0xDA 0x2024EBE
    writebytetooffset 0x67 0x2026A5A

    Removing offsets
    #remove 0xoffset

It'll remove only the scripts at that offset, so stuff a pointer leads to won't be removed.

    #clean 0xoffset

It'll remove the last script you compiled, as long as the offset was a dynamic offset.

    #removeall 0xoffset

It'll remove all parts of the script, including stuff from thhe other pointers.

    Setmaptile permanent
You need to use the command 'special 0x8E' after the setting the tile.
