    So I finally watched the SKET dance OVA as a subbed came out like last week.

    That was awesome man. Got to love Bossun's seriousness and of course Agata's over-protectiveness and random misunderstandings of a person with IQ of 180.

    Also made my first scripting error discovery:

    That bolded bit is the scrambled one in the picture I took, and I see now the reason for the scramble. I thought it was the question marks at first, but then I stumbled upon Groment City Museum's instance, which works fine. After more analysis, I figured out that \n seems to move on to the next line immediately while \l pauses and waits for the player to read, if I'm seeing this right. Therefore, all we need to do is change that to "\p????: Great news, let's go now!\lIt's time for the real LEADERS of" and it should be fine. Alternatively, since it's another person talking, another box can pop up with the other speech, separating it and removing the error that way; however, I see each box has its own code as well. I think the latter was in fact intended.

    So, for whatever change gets made, the next question becomes how to save the script I'm looking to edit. I then need to plug in a trigger to cause the script to activate on a copy (not the original) of the ROM in order to test it (I don't need to retrigger the fires or sprites themselves, just the talking). If it works, then I change the other three in the original to match and move on after moving back to my saved state.

    Being a complete notice with tools, how do you use XSE with AdvanceMap? Want to figure out how to take a look even if I don't actually do any editing, since I can't load scripts in AdvanceMap right now without other tools.

    Also took a look at the included tutorial. Seems basic. Read the Flags chapter in particular. Think I know what to look for. Will see if I find it. Lots of time to do it.

    #raw (these can be any movements as long as it comes back to the user)* * = If the camera moves 3 up, then 2 left, then the camera MUST return to it's orignal postion.

    EXPLANATION
    The special 0x113 and special 0x114 are the most important part of the script. The script is relying on it, so, no special 0x113 or 0x114's, no Move Camera Scripts.

    Lockall
    This is almost like the command "lock" except it locks every person on the map.

    Special 0x113
    This makes the player be frozen. And any other people should be as well.

    Applymovement 0x7F @move
    Applymovement = Applymovement, but the 7F tells the game we are moving the Camera instead of people. The movements are the same as if you were moving people.

    Special 0x114
    This releases the 'Special 0x113' if this is not present, then you can't move at all

    Releaseall
    Kinda like 'release' except it releases all people on the map

    Removing offsets
    #remove 0xoffset

    It'll remove only the scripts at that offset, so stuff a pointer leads to won't be removed.

    #clean 0xoffset

    It'll remove the last script you compiled, as long as the offset was a dynamic offset.

    #removeall 0xoffset

    It'll remove all parts of the script, including stuff from thhe other pointers.

    Setmaptile permanent
    You need to use the command 'special 0x8E' after the setting the tile.
