    Well, actually my idea evolved into more of a drug dealer with a murdered wife and he's trying to restart his life/clear his name kinda deal.

    And the cave sounds like a dope idea as I recall it. :3

    Oooh. A cave sounds fun! :D Was it that cove-type area you were talking about earlier?

    I started mapping for some hack idea I'm working on about some poor sap who gets evicted from his place so he leaves looking for work, stupidity ensues, and so on.

    Lore could totally be an optional thing.

    Main quest -> sidequests
    Stumble upon a sidequest, you get a bit of lore, which for those interested, will hunt for all of them.

    I've found that, in all aspects of life, it is generally better to think of the quality you will achieve instead of the effort you'll expel.

    How cool would a Final Fantasy X-like storyline be on a Pokemon game?

    Start off in a world that's pretty normal and technologically normal, before Pokemon were a thing, then fastforward to a time that is deprived of technology for the most part as well as constantly ravished by a Sin-like creature? Adapting from a world of no Pokemon to one that is filled with one and is generally filled with depression and junk. Could be kinda cool.

    So, sort of like a cave opening up to the ocean and connected to the beach? Seems like a pretty sweet idea, but may be a little odd to pull off. But, totally a good thing.

    Tell you what, get a preliminary concept for the cave down and show me what you got.

    I can tell you what to edit from there, offer suggestions and stuff.

    That's... that's literally what I said.

    Longer = relating to length. Taller relates to height, which is the Z-axis, which you don't mess with, 'cause this ain't a 3D game, ya scrub. Learn yer dimensions.

    And yes, that's exactly what I mean. Make it like four to six tiles LONGER so your river could be wider and you can add more bends to it and junk.

    See, this map is actually pretty fantastic. Maybe a couple of more small trees.

    One more block editing suggestion: See that entrance to the top right? Try to block edit the top of those trees on the lower bush to make it so the bush goes behind the trees. Know what I mean? That way, you keep the bush, but also have a two path-wide entrance. Makes it a little less constricting.

    Also, you could stand to make the map like three or four tiles longer for the sake of making the river wider. That seems more like a baby trickling type deal. So, a wider river could be way more windy and natural type of flow. Know what I mean?
