    well i understood it fine actually, its just i had to read it twice since the sentences seemed to run together, thought two ideas were together and such. it really does sound good though

    that happens when you use bad colors in the paint
    you must keep the original palette, use only colors that are already in the image
    and save it as a bitmap and not as a jpg

    As it stands now, I'll I need to do is figure out how to edit those mysterious area files and I gotta figure out how to add some text to the one NPC in Sandgem town so he gives you the National Dex

    Well I found the encounter files, now I just need the pokedex files... I only need the files that apply to the area sections of the pokedex

    OK, I apologize if I was unclear before, but I am taking a slightly different approach now...
    I have the programs to open up and extract files from the rom, but now I need to know what files I need to extract...
    I need to know what file contains the encounter rates?
    And I need to know what files contain the pokedex info?
    Now as for the pokedex part, all I need is the part that shows what area a pokemon is in.
    As in, when you open up the pokedex and pick a pokemon, and then goto area, and it shows the highlighted areas.
    I need to know what files hold that information.

    That, and the narc for encounter rates are all I need for now.
