It's not just a disease, it's a plague. Slowly dipping you into insanity until the very last ounce of humanity is drained from you and then you die a horrific death. No one knows where it comes from, and no one knows how to cure it. You are doomed to a horrible fate worse than death if you succumb to this disease. And sadly I am succumbing to this abomination. Even now, I can feel my humanity slipping away.....

This was found in a page of a lost diary that was recently discovered in an archeological dig. The meaning is unknown and it is believed that the man was dying of tuberculosis since that disease ran ramped in those days and the page was stained with blood. So it was stowed away never to be read again if only they had listened to the warning..

This is what the post card you receive in the mail says. You are finally old enough to get your first Pokémon and start your journey to become the best
Trainer/Coordinator/Breeder ever. Excited, you begin to pack your things almost forgetting to tell your parents but as your packing you begin to feel weaker and weaker. Your breathing grows hoarse and faster and you collapse and are rushed to the local hospital.

When you awake the doctor is by your bedside with a solemn look on his face and a saddened look on your parents. Your mother is crying and your father is trying to keep back the tears. You look at them blankly.

"We are sorry but...you only have 6 months to live." The doctor says. You look at him in disbelief but he only hands you a book with the words "Mutuwar hauka Syndrome" on it.
"It's very rare..only one in every 7million will have it. Normally...but there has been a spike in cases recently...Many children your age are developing this Syndrome." The doctor says to you. The doctor leaves the room. Your parents are weeping the corner, especially your mother but they to eventually leave the room.
With everyone gone you open the book and begin to skim through the pages.

"Mutuwar hauka better known as Brain Rotting Syndrome.

First discovered in 1980 Mutuwar hauka is a brain disorder that causes the brain to work on overdrive until it literally begins to shut down. Survival rate is slim to none if any at all. The victims brain while on overdrive begins to secrete chemicals in higher amounts causing extreme chemical imbalances and eventually plunges the victim into a state of psychopathy until their brain shuts down and they die. Scientists have identified 3 stages of this disease

1st Stage - Patient exhibits no clinical signs of the disease, they may begin to feel weak and experience Anemia and breathing may hasten occasionally. The victim also begins to exhibit super human strength and speed because the disease is forcing adrenaline to be released in large amounts. This stage lasts 1 month.

2nd Stage - The patient begins to exhibit panic attacks, insomnia, and hallucinations although they still are able to keep their emotions in check. Frequent fainting spells and nightmares are possible. This stage lasts 3 months.

3rd Stage - The final stage is true torture. The victim has descended into full scale psychopathy and can grow violent. Extreme hallucinations occur along with complete loss of social skills. The victim looses all sense of right and wrong and can attack anyone or anything. Eventually the brain shuts down and the patient dies in a final hallucination.

No cure is known. Scientists are helpless to stop it because the disease is in the very inner recesses of the brain. Any surgery that has been tried has inevitably caused the death of the patient.

But all hope is not lost! Rumor has it that the Pokémon League has a special cure for the syndrome just in case. Rumor or not you've got to at least try!
The problem is, you must get to the Elite Four in under six months or else you're as good as dead. So in the dead of night you rip the hospital cords off your arms and escape out the window.

It truly is a race against time to be the best.

That isn't the end of your problems though, a new evil team is rising from the depths of Sinnoh, Team Necron. This team isn't after legendaries like Dialga or Palkia, they are a biological warfare team. They have no interest in capturing legendaries for their purposes. They are after the kids who have been diagnosed with Brain Rotting Syndrome and have been kidnapping them. No one knows where they disappear but rumor is they kill the them and harvest the disease while it still survives in the brain. They have no respect for the innocent lives they've destroyed, they only care about starting a biological war for their own purposes.

It's a race against time to stop Team Necron and become the champion. The consequences for you aren't like normal kids who want to walk the road of being a champion. You fail. You lose your life. Good luck, you'll need it.
