    I started college yesterday, so far socializing doesn't seem like something I'll be doing a lot of there, but I'll be starting work fairly soon which may be different. I'm sure in due time I'll have made some friends, I like to think I'm affable. .~.

    Haha, it makes you wonder what they think of you for accepting the compliment. I really wouldn't mind that at all; I've always had the desire to travel, but I'm seriously content with the notion of never leaving the house. I wish I had the option to take all online courses in school.

    I know, it's awful...you don't want to sound like those people who fish for compliments by denying it, then you don't want to sound arrogant. You can't just give a quick "thank you" either, because that kind of abruptly ends the conversation. I usually end up thanking them then searching for something to flatter the person I'm talking to, which occasionally works. :(

    Awkward conversation mishaps are THE WORST. Especially the ones where you make a joke, and end up having to explain it. There is no redemption for those. D; I especially hate when people drown me in compliments or pity and I don't know how to respond.

    I need to do all of the above. Or below, rather. My back is actually starting to hurt from having been so lazy lately, and I wouldn't be surprised if I've lost all my irl social skills since I moved. But same as you, I won't. x3 Besides, online people are so much more pleasant than irl people from my experience.

    Gracias, that's my intention. ;3 I always use that on my mom when she scolds me for little blunders and just generally being incompetent, "BE THANKFUL I'M NOT DOING HARD DRUGS OR GETTING KNOCKED UP LIKE EVERYONE ELSE" What's sad is that this argument is so accurate that it's useful.

    ffff I know, I don't know what it is about the internet that makes time fly by so rapidly. I don't consider my new-found "addiction" to the internet a good thing, though I am content with it. Nice new av, btw~

    Gad, same. I feel guilty for letting dust devour the more scholarly novels that are scattered randomly across my room, but I just can't force my attention span to persist unless I'm assigned to read one for class or something. I usually find myself rereading books I grew up with for fun instead, like Hank the Cowdog or Ralph S. Mouse, haha. Probably disappointing to my high school teachers, but I mindless entertainment can be so relaxing.

    Funny, I normally catch my mom indulging herself in trashy romance novels from Wal-Mart. But I loved The Giver, I love that eerie-feeling utopian society conspiracy type thing. If you understood that at all x3 I'd like to partake in larger, more intellectual novels, but hardly do I pick one up and actually finish it. :<

    I'm a big fan of Japan. If you want to talk Japanese stuff with me leave me a VM. I've also studied the language a bit and even though I'm not fluent if you want to ask about that then feel free and I'll help where I can.

Did you all play with these when you were a kid? I loved them, and I would have kept on enjoying them save for the fact that they cost money and you can only use them once. Oh! but not if you make your own! I'mma gonna post one of my own devising (sort of) here and ask you all to help me fill out the words. So I was reading stuff online and came across this spat that was happening on twitter between Azealia Banks and Perez Hilton. I normally don't bother with celebrity squabbles, but this one seemed like it was a dispute over the use of the word "ferret." (Note: not the actual word used. The actual word was another 6 letter word that starts with "f" and ends in "t".) and as someone who enjoys linguistics and a good argument I couldn't not have my interest piqued.

So I got a PS3 recently. I was a kind of combined Christmas/birthday gift from my friends. I know, I know, some of you are reacting like "What? You only just now got a PS3?" and think I'm like your grandfather who asks you how the email works. I like to wait and see before I get something expensive, okay? They were also kind enough to give me a game. Several games, actually, all bundled up on one disc. The one I'm most jazzed about is Journey.
