    Hi Hiidoran! You and Forever are the only Mods online so I thought I'd come ask you... maybe I'm just not reading around the place enough, and I'm sure the answer to this question will be so simple it could have beat me over the head, but how does one start a blog?

    That's what I figured... trying to build so much off of a poor effort to make a welcome thread in the first place is really hard to do, and it's really the people who put effort into their threads that seem like they're more worth my time and effort. :( And that makes sense about the IP checks, too. Does evidence of the contrary include like similar writing styles to other accounts (or reused avatars lolol) orrr what? That's honestly the only stuff I can think of... I mean, if someone really tried to fake everyone out by showing up as one of their "friends" and they acted completely different when they were on that account? It'd be hard as heck to actually catch them sockpuppeting. :(

    ...idk what I'm saying anymore. I apologize if I said anything unintelligible. XD

I don't think it'd be possible for anyone to post on every thread ever. :x Annnd speaking of mod stuff, I think I remember Syd saying once a long time ago that you had to IP check all of the posters of new threads. Do you really check every single one, or just the ones that look suspicious? I don't recall ever trying to check anyone's IP back in the day when I modded, so idk if it's like a drawn-out process or anything or if it's really simple. -just wondering-

'Cause I did it!

After two years of battling and mastering all of my prerequisites, I finally got accepted into the elusive School of Nursing at my university. :D I can now get on with my degree and start developing my career! With all the top-tier hospitals in Indianapolis (right on or around my campus), I'm hoping this will certainly boost my chances of snagging a job after graduation! I'm so excited!

Brb, buying my stethoscope.

So I've decided to step down from my position as a moderator of New Users / Welcome, and I thought I might as well tell everyone so there are no embarrassing questions or anything. :x

I also just wanted to say that I was honored to have had the job, and I really enjoyed it while I had it. I'm gonna miss working with you regular welcomers in making PC feel like the friendliest Pokémon forum out there, and I'm gonna miss the ability to really help out this community in a hands-on way....

There have been a couple threads on the whole "Adopt-a-Newbie" idea over the past couple years and it always seems to get quite a response. After a little discussion and some planning, we're gonna give it a go.

So my grandma's birthday and Mother's Day happens to be around the same time, if not on the same day some years. That being the case, I always end up goin' over there to give her a gift for both because I'm a poor college student and visit with the fam - cousins and all.

One of my cousins happened to be sportin' a Pokémon shirt today and my nephew was trying to name 'em all. The moment he called Buneary "Pachirisu," I literally had to stop myself from correcting him mid-blurt...

First off, I've got absolutely nothing against volunteer projects. They're great humanitarian experiences. I volunteered in a library, community center, and a couple hospitals now. All of which were actually pretty fun and taught me a thing or two.

What I dislike is when an undergraduate instructor forces you to volunteer at places you a) don't believe in, b) don't have time for, and c) expects that you actually live somewhere close to the location and it doesn't cost you $15 in gas...
