Thanks. I'll see if that can be done. Maybe I'll use keyword arguments or create a mini language or something. If I go the IDE approach, I'll probably go overboard and write a full blown map viewer that uses shortest path algorithms and the movement permissions of the map to generate movements given start and end coordinate.

Hey thanks for helping out with the syntax. I'm kinda unsure about how to represent the movements - do you have any more good ideas? I though I could use the list syntax, but I'm not sure how to keep it from getting too messy.

Your ASM routine would be cool for a Safari-style challenge I was pondering. Thanks for posting .

Well, it being loaded by the text system, I'd assume all the letters of the alphabet, but that'd be 26 entires + characters + numbers, so that wouldn't be it. Have you tried changing the pointers and seeing what happens?

It seems that the area you mentioned is referenced initially at 0x43F88, and I think it ends at 0x1DB8F5, although I'm not entirely sure. I can't seem to find any pointers in there, and I'm not sure at all what it is referencing, but the fact that there's FF FF FF FF periodically in there means there's some kind of termination going on. I was initially thinking that it was references to each of the letters in the font though, but I'm not entirely sure, but because all the letters are in one image, there has to be a way to separate it.
