I can't believe it, but look here: http://fincs.drunkencoders.com/2011/07/03/mid-to-sseq-converter/comment-page-1/#comment-554

If this is possible, DS music hacking just got 100% easier.

Got more good news about the new MIDI2SSEQ.

Well, I’ll be looking forward to that. It will be very useful. Now, if there was something for looping SSEQ files, that would be amazing.

There is, just add loopStart and loopEnd markers to your MIDI.
I need to figure out how to put in "loopStart" and "loopEnd".

I'm trying to reconfigure those files for them, but I can't seem to figure out how. It'd be nice if he provided the source so we can compile our own sound tests.

It cannot find any of those "00 64" bytes. It must be doing something odd. So I can't do anything anyways.

I just noticed something. I cannot loop with the 00 64 bytes (unless I am doing something wrong)

You're welcome. Now, I need to get looping figured out. I'm still trying to get it working. And yes, it is a huge timesaver.

Yup. And, it's even better: You don't have to change the 12th byte in the midi either. It converts it perfectly without any need for a hex editor.

Put it in the C:\Users\Yourname and get the 2 .dll files it needs, and put it in the same directory. Type in (under a command prompt window) midi2sseq namaeofmidi nameofsseq.

Hey. I found a redone version of MIDI2SSEQ that doesn't require you to replace FF C0 bytes. It makes them FF C7 instead, repairing the file and allowing you to continue on! Want a link?
