Ah, yes, that happens to all firered roms i'm afraid, and it's a hack of firered isn't it? i've never been able to fix this, however, get Visual Boy Advance for your emulator and use the save files to save it, if you want i'll give you some screenshots.

No problem. Try asking one of the moderators of that section.
If you scroll to the very bottom of the board, you will see their names in the bottom left side of the screen.

Hi mate. I am afraid I haven't played it, however, if you have a look around this forum:

You might find the solution or if not, there are plenty of people there who can help you out! Hope this helps.

No, never. You should probably ask somebody who's actually visited/posted in the ROM hacking section, rather than somebody random like me :P

Heck, at the moment I don't even play pokémon games, so sorry, I really can't help you with whatever you query is.

    Yup! You got it right!

As for myself, I'm trying to make a ROM hack. Are you interested? I'm not even started - I barely made 3 maps.

Huh? You just rename the file, and that's it. (Remember to rename the file so that the name before the extension is the exact same as the patch file (minus the extension).)

    For example:

    Game Name.gba
    Game Name.ips

(Replace Game Name with actual file name)

Get the ROM named the same as the patch file, put both files in the same folder, run the ROM. VBA should handle the patching automatically.

    what? difficult?
all you need to do is click a few buttons and done...

    anyway, download a new one?
why not just duplicate your Emerald ROM?
