Huh. I thought SMeyer was big in the UK and Canada too. O.o Then again, they're practically the US anyway, so... *ducks boots!*

Clearly. Carrie would have been so much better with Edward Cullen seducing the titular character. Or, at least, until the pig's blood came along.

Oh yes. How could I forget the stalking? I feel totally safe to be around men now.

(I think I'm one of the few girls who can say the Twilight movie made me a little more gay.)

Seems like everyone started with On Writing, which is really kinda cool. XD It's seriously the best book ever. Let's face it. Half of it is crammed with awesome advice (like "You need grammar to stop yourself from looking like an idiot."), and the other half is crammed of hilariousness and practical advice you really hope more people in this world take (like "Never use poison ivy as toilet paper.").

Which is a shame because King needs to do more smacking down. And SMeyer was inspired by King? I guess I can see it. I mean, if I woke up and saw an emo kid I barely knew standing in the corner of my room, I'd crap myself just as much as I would if I saw Pennywise the clown standing in the same place. (That movie. Oh, how you scarred me as a child.)

As for the Sims 2... Dammit, Asty. Don't tempt me to get this game, just so I can get some incest going in half the houses. (Oh, come on. Sebastian x Viola's practically canon, right?)

Possibly. ;_; Do you sparkle, my dear? (Also, I don't know! I just appear, and they hate me! ;_;)

Ooh. All of those flavors sound yummy. I'm tempted to go with pistachio. It's been awhile since I've had some. 83

As for Tamagotchis... AHHAHAHAHA. My plan of distracting and corrupting you is nearing completion!

And for the story, I'm not even being biased in saying this, but typos aside (which I suspect were put in there by whoever put this on the series of tubes), it was good. You could really hear the narrator's voice, particularly in the beginning when he's describing the letter. Everything is frank, and when things are described, it's usually out of respect or reverence. The image of Kitty, for example? Totally showing his love for her -- an emotion that's brought out later on in the story (which, in itself, is simple but suspenseful -- I'd expected her to die throughout half of it and was totally hit by surprise by the ending). Incidentally, the ending nearly made me cry, if only because of the last letter. Now, comparing this to Twilight, told from the viewpoint of an apparently pretentious teen...

Now I'm trying to imagine how you'd handle a human baby.

Relevant and highly awesome. And Tim's face in that second one is epic. X3

    I think I may never again be able to look at a broken eggshell without some part of me wondering if that egg got steel-toed. XD;

Dragon collection pics = want. I ought to take pics of mine sometime, too.

On the video: Watching it in the background. I'm amused by her assertion that:

    1. Stephen King will never be as successful. Even if Stephen King is one of the most well-known names in horror and fantasy, a number of his novels were made into movies (apparently a shard of proof that Twilight is omgspecial), and has sold over 300 million copies of his books.

    2. Stephen King said it out of spite, even though he's been in the business for over thirty years and has even written a guide to writing... which in itself is a best seller.

    3. That Twilight approaches subjects in a way that makes them less scary for girls. Because I definitely think portraying sex as destructive and dangerous and birth as deadly with the potential of breaking the mother's spine is a lot less threatening than actually portraying both realistically.

    4. She doesn't hate on Stephen King... even though she does, given her last words to him are "**** you."

Myself, I love the man. I loved him since I read On Writing from cover to cover, and I love him even more after that lolsworthy drama fodder. (Not that I fault him for saying it. I figure someone has to. I just hope he covers our dear Pao-Pao sometime too.) But the Twilight fans? Giving me more of a reason to assume that the industry's getting even more desperate. I mean, let's face it. If you really think of it, the entire damn premise of the books are ridiculous, and I still think Buffy's boy toys can kick Edward Cullen's ass. And I was really disappointed that Edward didn't burst into flames when he hit the sun the way Whedon and Rice vampires do. I mean, if I sparkled in the sun, I'd be like, "Hell yeah. Rave time." But that's superficial and not on topic.

The point is, the industry's full of crap nowadays, and the fans who are supporting crap are so rabid when someone who actually knows what they're talking about points out that it's crap aren't making things any better by buying this crap and making it popular. Whatever happened to the days when the most drama we got in the industry was when Rice decided to be a moron about criticism, the people with sense laughed at her, and the fans just sort of went quiet?

Incidentally, when I become a professional writer, I'm going to have that kind of biography:

"Jax is a very modest person and thinks whoever spends paragraphs on this part of the website are twerps who aren't worth reading because they're too busy looking at themselves in the mirror to even attempt to compensate for talent."

On Puck and Oberon, I'm giggling now because I'm thinking of A Midsummer Night's Dream on a whole new level. Oh, Ender. How I like you now. BDSM should be able to make every Shakespeare play better. Just think of Twelfth Night twincest! With Sebastian as the bottom, naturally.

    Now, imagining Oberon pregnant…

And holy crap. Puck is flaming. Although he kinda looks like Andy on a level, which now makes me think of odd images. How would Angel feel if Andy squirts out a baby that looks suspiciously like Puck?

Sorry about the levels of security. I'll check it out. It might have something to do with your post count, though. If I recall correctly, I set the board so you can't PM easily if you have under 20 posts. Mostly because there's a number of jerks from old places who wouldn't be above stalking me now and then.

Also, about the suggestion to wrestle… Sorry, dear. I don't work at a supermarket. Surely you can borrow a few (hundred) boxes of Jell-O mix, yes?

This is highly relevant to this day and age. I suspect that one of us has linked the other to it before--if so, well, its relevance makes it worthy of re-linking. X3

*weeps black tears for the writing industry* Okay, seriously, people are wondering why print media is taking such a plunge. It's because arrogant little pricks keep getting published, so the only famous fiction on the market is from either blowhards or teens who haven't quite gotten past their "borrow storylines from other writers" phase.

I say Stephen King should be unleashed upon them. With the righteous fury of "I wrote better crap when I was on illegal substances."

Sorry, but I read the snowflake's bio. And headdesked thoroughly.

Also, it's mostly because I want to see you wrestle someone. 8D

Are the two Sims by any chance based on any particular character? Because if it's any of the numbers of flamboyant characters who are flashing through my mind, that makes the entire dom thing all the more amusing. Especially after my friend showed me this.

    Yessss. MUST HAVE. <3

    Speaking of cookie-eggs... I wonder if there's anything to their description as being "very fragile". o.o I wonder if they're more prone to soft shell or something. Hopefully they're not--imagine, after all that effort of getting a cookie, it just goes *makes raspberry noise*. That would suck... o_o;

Leetle Trees are things of glory--they totally need to bring them back or at least bring out some new kind of tree-egg this year. And Tears for Rears needs to hold a special concert to celebrate the release of the tree-eggs, whichever sort of tree-eggs they may be. :D

Indeed it does make everything so much better, though I'm sure THEY would beg to differ. X3 Though maybe they do actually appreciate it when it's someone else's rather than their own. Actually, scratch that. They probably prefer their own--as long as it's their idea and no one else (with the possible exception of a certain squishy-looking white someone) gets to see it. No one else is worthy to behold it. :<

And I frelling love that show, especially the songs. I am hearing "I Sit on You" in my mind and resisting the urge to dance to it even as I type. X3

Gahhhhhhhhh, those things sound insanely tasty. *_____* I need to find out if they have those out here. SYRUP POCKETS AND CINNAMON POCKETS... <3

Baby dinos are effing adorable. Once I have three of each kind of adult, I'm definitely going to freeze some dino hatchlings.

Thanks! Getting those eggs was... not easy. Put mildly. @___@; There's some good news regarding that particular type of egg, however: there's been at least one instance of nothing but Valentine's eggs dropping for a little while as opposed to the "very, very slim chance of seeing one in a regular drop while other rares fly by in droves, mocking you all" method that had been used to distribute these eggs. Hopefully this will continue for a while, with the eggs available for a few days instead of just one, and hopefully that will enable you to get at least one cookie-egg now that you're no longer scroll-locked.

And YES, they do look like cookies! X3 Awesome that I'm not the only one who thinks so.

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY! 8D And it's the second Time Police episode tonight, too. :3 "Tasteful nudity"... X3
