    I do think he did get lucky. Izaya wasn't expecting to be punched by a pacifist, of all people.

    What's also crazy is that his father managed to steal her head in the first place.


    Of course, there were a lot of loose ends. It'd have to be a freaking set of movies!

    Simon kinda got lucky in that he caught Izaya off-guard because he's a pacifist. He's not someone you want to piss off, though.

    He was probably a very smart delinquent.

    Spoiler:
    Not like Shinra wanted the head, though. He was afraid that Celty would up and leave if she found her head.


    I can't help but feel the anime was cut short just before it was going to go into full swing. It was based off of a novel, iirc.

    Simon, crazy? Nah! He's just a pacifist who was tired of Izaya's bull, especially toward our three protagonists.

    He was ridiculously skilled with that switchblade. Had to be to keep the battlefield level with Shizuo's superhuman strength.

    Spoiler:
    He wanted to use the three gangs the kids controlled to start a war that would wake the head from its slumber.

    He had to develop good parkour skills, otherwise Shizuo would kill him!
    My favorite moment in the series (warning, contains spoilers for people who are stalking this conversation):

    When Simon punched Izaya in the face like he deserved to be. Though that was near the end of the series.

    Izaya Orihara was a crazy bastard. He was on his own planet, both in terms of intelligence and his attitude toward life.

    WHY ARE SO MANY PEOPLE RECOMMENDING IT TO ME?!
