Oh of course not all music, and the same for not all literature as well. I think the reason why people hold previous decades so dear is because only GOOD music survives many years later. The Velvet Underground were unheard of during their time, but in later decades they have received an incredibly large amount of acclaim.

I would say the same for modern music. I don't even listen to things in the charts most of the time; there really is a lot of incredible music out there still, even if it can rarely be found in the vein of popular music.

Do you want to battle now? Like, on the actual game?

I'm one of those people that claim to be born several generations to late. Much like literature, music is timeless.

Oh geez he swallowed his mouth guard!?! I think it's mandatory in karate to suffer a shin injury lol. So many times I've gone shin to shin against someone when doing a kick. But damnation you've had it really rough, you have my sympathy. I have been hit in the stomach really hard on a couple of occasions - I didn't vomit but I felt dizzy and sick for a short while.

I personally don't understand why weapon training is such a focal point at your old dojo. It's not like you will be carry those weapons with you on the street or whatever so I don't see the practical importance of learning how to wield a weapon. However I can definitely see the use in learning how to defend against some weapons like bo staffs and knives for example which you probably covered, since people who attack you could easily wield a knife or a baseball bat / stick.

I've been to camps when I was really young (before a teenager) and I've gone to one earlier this year. I never went to a camp during my teen years, not for any particular reason either. Opportunities were not around. Guess it does seem a bit weird but yeah. The camps I went to were very enjoyable. We went on forest hikes, had group training sessions but we were also allowed to relax in the pool and watch a film in the evening. The camp I went to this year was pretty intense, though we were still given free time and such. We went white water rafting on the final day of that camp. It's a shame you never had a great time at your camps. Your sensei seems really old fashioned and stuck in his outdated ways to me.

I had no idea as well! Seriously we both have an interest in Karate, Pokemon battling even though I'm on a bit of an off peak season on that at the moment and the Pokemon TCG, though you're more of a collector and I am more of a battler. It's a bit unnerving how many similar hobbies we both have lol.

I enjoy all objectively good music
