Well, it's really, really complicated. In my opinion, he put too much into it for what little we get out of it. =P
Essentially, it is what it is: Certain Trainer IDs are luckier at getting shinies than others. But it's kinda small and it's not greatly beneficial.

I'll break down something key, I.E.

"Shiny correlations to the Trainer ID DO EXIST, but they're miniscule. The worst "shiny ID" is 5185, with odds 523936 in 4294967296, or 0.9993 in 8192. The best shiny ID is 586, with odds 524620 in 4294967296, or 1.0006 in 8192."

Ok, so, the real chance is 1/8192. Ok, some Trainer IDs are better than others. The "best" you can get is only 1.0006/8192, and the worst is only 0.9993/8192. So like he said, there's very little difference, but there is an influence.

As far as Emerald goes, I dunno about that. Something about time and RNG. RNG = Random Number Generator, which is used to make Pokemon in the game, like if you walk into grass or make an egg.
It makes me interested in leaving one of my Emerald games on for a while, to end a "drought".

There's something else that makes me think though that relates to Emerald.
"$ChuteOut$" mentioned something about an Emerald Shiny glitchsomethinanother, which made shinies have same stats, nature, etc...

Well, I can say I support that too. My two Emerald shinies, Metagross and Totodile?
They have the exact same nature and IVs. o_o

So in a way I don't want to look for shinies on THAT Emerald, but instead use Emerald 2 that I got at GameStop.
If I look for anything, it'll be something that can't be chained though, like a water Pokemon or something that is SR'd for, like a Regi.

Anyway, back on topic, the first part I mostly understood, but the later on I sorta got lost myself.
