Oh sorry, I've been drawing most of the day so I didn't check PC.

I totally understand what you mean though, family filling the special role in your life. And truthfully, coexisting is a huge part of a relationship. There's so, so much that goes into coexisting, like understanding and communication. I've seen a lot of relationships and marriages that have been founded on a lot less. Needless to say, they don't end well.

Twirling around because she's happy. I figured that would be kind of obvious.

Haha, trust me I wouldn't have any qualms about that! But he's the opposite of deadweight. He brought light into my life again when I was in a very dark place. We both participate equally in this relationship and are both equally invested in making it grow into something more.

It's funny you mention it cause I posted about it recently, actually.

But hey, enough about me. I could go on forever about my boyfriend but that doesn't tend to make good conversation, haha. You have anyone special in your life?

Well, I'm a touch on the boyish side. To the extent that I enjoy competitive gaming and am a hardcore comic fan. I don't carry myself like a precious princess or need a man to do everything for me, and I'm a black belt in karate so I certainly know how to defend myself. I'm independent and articulate, whether or not these traits are "boyish" by definition is up for argument. That said, pink is my favorite color and I love dresses and plush toys, so I'm certainly girly in a conventional way.

See, I can't get enough of that. Left 4 Dead is easily one of my favorites. It's such an intense zombie swarm of guttural unpleasantness. But again, not so good at first person shooters. Luckily my boyfriend is excellent backup when we play.

Haha, tell me about it. I think most, if not all, of the 17+ age group that plays Pokemon is pining away for a more mature, realistic version of Pokemon. But, alas, it will probably never happen.

I hear you though. I'm a huge sucker for survival horror games (specifically Dead Space) and most anything that conjures up images of Bruce Campbell in Evil Dead. I think the physics and mechanics that have to go into blood and things of that nature are fascinating. I mean, it has to be so realistic for an immersive experience, so it's extremely difficult for developers to do it execute it correctly. The problem is that more often than not I end up back playing cutesie games like Animal Crossing. What can I say? I can't help it.

Well, I'm no game critic, but I'm still playing it, haha. Your experience definitely may vary. That said, I found that not taking it too seriously helped. It just depends on what you truly value in a game. Some bet everything on story, while others (like me) appreciate the grinding aspect of Pokemon. It all comes down to personal preference.

That would be a shame if you stopped playing all together. Hopefully you won't retire from PC though!

Yeah, that's not all too uncommon. It's hard to stay interested when there are so many predecessors to compare the current games to. I sincerely hope you enjoy X&Y, because while the story itself is (arguably) somewhat bland, the features and game play made up for it tenfold.

Absolutely. I don't play many of the spinoffs, but my passion for the main series of games is as unwavering today as it was in 1996. Of course, the things that I enjoy about the games has changed over such a long time; as I find myself more interested in the algorithms and mechanics now, but that doesn't mean I like Pokemon any less.

Not only that, but I've been able to carve out a little niche for myself regarding my Pokemon art. It's really launched a little career of mine, so I'm able to compensate for the more "childish" aspects of it by using it to further my artistic agendas.

    /end rant

How about you? Are you still into Pokemon games? Or do you find that you'd rather play something else?

So, progress in this game has been rather brisk this time. The last gym was nothing to write home about, aside from the ice puzzle. The leader himself just crumbled before me, just like all the others, thanks to my Electivire, though it did take a while since he had 5 'mons with him.

So, with the last badge at hand, The only thing that was left for me to do before the league was to mop up whatever parts of Hoenn that are still untouched by me, namely the parts that required Waterfall...

Now, in this one, I've dispelled their psychic powers in Mossdeep's gym. All it took was a Dark Pulse from Greninja & a Metal Claw from Excadril to put Liza & Tate down & secure badge #7. Hmm, maybe Psychic-type gyms have become a shadow of their former selves in the past.

Anyway, as soon as I got out, a column of light came out from where route 129 is. Everyone throughout the region starts panicking like headless chickens. Turns out, Team Magma managed to get into the Seafloor...

Alright, now that I've gotten through more, time for another report. The Fortree Gym was blasted through with ease, though it wasn't necessarily quick, though, considering that Winona has four 'mons. Still, since I was packing Ice moves in my Greninja, it was a slow but methodical picking apart of her team. & with that, Badge #6 is mine.

That manages to unblock the rest of 120 for me to clean up & gain access to route 121. With that, I've gotten in hot pursuit of Team Magma...

Hope you guys are having a nice Christmas (eve.) For this report, I went straight to the Petalburg gym. I only needed my Heracross to break this one, however the one time that I got to Norman's second Slaking, that one did manage to survive, barely, & managed to mount a counterattack. In the end, however, it was too little, too late, as I'd anticipated him trying to heal up & delivered the deathblow right afterward.

So, with badge #5 in tow, I immediately went off to route 118,...

Continuing off from where I left in my last report, I got up to Mt. Chimney, & there was strife between the two teams that are as hot as the lava in this volcano. But sure enough, this all came to a crashing halt when I got to Maxie, who wasn't able to handle my war machine. Even afterward, he threatened that if I crossed paths with him again, the consequences will be dire. Bah! He's got no position to be making these! In all honesty, if & when we cross paths with each other, it will be...
