Thanks for the Feedback. The trees and roofs covering the player is something I completely overlooked and forgot I could do. But yes, the Professor's Lab will be changed by the next release and a lot of maps will be redone, especially Atlantic City. As for the scripting, I write the scripts and Tajaros is the one who adds them into the playable versions. So I will inform him to keep the color texts to a minimum or only have specific colors depending on their gender. 1 thing I didn't understand in your feedback is you said I should have the character player speak. I'm pretty sure the player speaks A LOT. I appreciate the feedback and I'll consider these things while working onward to finishing the hack.
A few days late, but anyway: I completely mis-phrased that- I meant you should consider whether having the Player character speaking is really the best option. I'm not just saying that because official Pokemon games don't have the Player speak. It does of course, depend on the story, and so if it fits, it fits. So having the player speak is fine, but you should try and distinguish it from other's speech (which is what I was addressing when I spoke about the coloured text). Sorry for the lack of clarity! :)
You're very welcome dear. Hey I was just playing a pokemon game and I was thinking - why hasn't anyone made a game where you get to play as 'mom'? I mean in the second season of pokemon Ash's mom get a mr. mime and she seems really good at handling it.
So why not give 'mom' a game of her own and i've always thought there would be a back-story to her and oak since Ash's dad is never around. Maybe it's moms turn huh?
Could you maybe post this up somewhere and see what comes of it?
Then again I'm sure you could come up with something trully spectacular if you wanted to.
So here it is: Give Mom a game of her own - as a trainer. Maybe some back story between her and oak (he was her teacher at school - maybe they dated for a while after she graduated...maybe he is secretly Ash's father???) New maps/storyline - maybe a little more sophisticated (it is mom we're talking about)
