So I got up this morning and saw that I had 5 notifications, all of which were VMs. I thought to myself "ooh, 5 VMs! Surely one of them is from Barrels." (Yes, even though I know your real name and repeat it to myself softly as I drift off to sleep, your name in my head is still Barrels out of respect to the monster you slaughtered to earn it). Sure enough, not just one but 4 of them were from you! This made for a very good morning.

Nevertheless, the thought of replying to them right away seemed overwhelming first thing in the morning (keeping in mind that for me, "first thing" = 10:30am) so I left it until now, 12:47am the following day

I'm gonna go backwards (i.e. top to bottom):

You are neglecting my awesomeness, but the real crime is that you are forcing me by association to neglect your own! You are far too busy for a 17 18 year old and all those fsctors which are making you such must be immediately destroyed. But before you destroy them, please do fill me in!

Dat link. Dat ****ing link may just be the best thing I've ever read in my entire life. Who is that girl I am straight now and I wish to marry her. Then divorce her just so that I can marry her again. And make her pizza. She is is... omfg lmao. Best thing EVER.

What else have I written... actually, there's surprisingly little! For all the passion I have for writing and all the ideas that constantly swirl through my head, surprisingly few actually make it to paper (or Microsoft Word, as it were). I have a whole book full of notes for story and writing piece ideas including funny little quotes or excerpts or just short lines of dialogue, but so few of them have actually come together into coherent works! I do have one thing though that I had to write in Year 11 English (back in 2007, wow) and the teacher liked it so much she asked if she could publish it in the year book. So there's that. It's not funny whatsoever though, it's a short sad piece that I had to write lol. If I can find it I'll show it to you! Hopefully it'll still be around somewhere... if nowhere else I'll have to find my year book and scan the pages lmao. But I even read over it in like 2010 and cringed at how much stuff I would change lol.

There are no fairycakes and rainbows, or pedestals made of sunshine and flesh . Only a girl who lost her sister in a plane crash.

Christopher Hitchens and Stephen Fry - fantastic fantastic witty amazing awesome wonderful epic all the good adjectives ever people. I've seen a lot of their work in the atheist sphere (and I've read Christopher's book God Is Not Great, may he rest in peace) and they've come up with arguments against religion that I would never even have considered.

Penn Jillette - I'm actually not familiar with him and as it is now 2:05am (yes I get distracted easily and it takes me this long to write VMs - another reason it's so daunting for me to do it first thing in the morning ) I don't have the time to watch that video, so you will have to deal with my thoughts on just the two for now!

Awaiting my PM does not mean you get out of VMing me! You are stuck with me until the end of time, sir!

I used the word 'now' three times just in that bracketed section. Proof it is indeed 2am... now.

Who the hell has seen the Pokemon Stage Show?! That seems like overkill to me . I don't even mod a Pokemon section, there is zero Pokemon talk in OVP so pah. Pah, I say!

And no, not on YouTube! On the television! It's not on our free-to-air channels mind you, only the cable ones . But I've seen it just the same!

And I will tell you that the writing is now complete and am now into editing. I will send you a PM regarding all of this at a later time (because it is 2am right now and I totally forgot about this VM til just now and now I can't be arsed )

I have no idea what that Misty in Pokemon Live reference even means, but I'll press on anyway . HOW COULD I FORGET YOUR BIRTHDAY, I NEVER KNEW! YOU NEVER TOLD ME AND BY THE WAY YOU STILL HAVEN'T!

Oh you think you're so smart, don't you, calling me un-British like you do. But I have some news for you! While I haven't seen that particular episode, I've seen a whole heap of Outnumbered and already knew exactly who Hugh Dennis was because I was a fan of his (and everybody else's) work on My Hero from 2000-2005 before James Dreyfus took over from Ardal O'Hanlon and totally buggered the entire series. So there!

And no, it's nothing like Fifty Shades of Grey. It's nearly finished though. It's about 5000 words and 10 pages long but it's done. And there is a reason I can't tell you what it is but I can't tell you the reason in a VM either!

:O. I can't believe it. You had a birthday. You had an EIGHTEENTH BIRTHDAY and you didn't even tell me! How am I meant to shop for presents if I don't even know your birthday!

She is an historical figure! It's just that the history in which she is involved is very recent. Like, 1990s recent. The movie was made in 2000, and you should check it out! It's so good! Apparently I'm overusing exclamation marks today!

Notting Hill is your loss. Hugh Grant at his finest . Everybody loves Hugh Grant or they're not human.

LMFAO @ your thoughts on weddings, only because I totally agree. Strangely enough though, I don't find these feelings apply in movies. There's something about that degree of detachment when it's on a screen rather than happening actually around you that makes it quite soothing!

Stepmom - OK, prepare for the heartbreak! Susan Sarandon has cancer and is dying. She has two adorable children and they have to come to terms with the fact that their mother is slowly slipping away. Julia Roberts is engaged to the children's father and Susan has to become accustomed to the fact that she will become their new mother after she is gone.

As to what I'm writing, I can't exactly say in a VM . Perhaps you should come on Skype one time and I can tell you! It's nearly done though... nearly. I was hoping to have it done tonight, but it seems tomorrow is the day!

I'm not that much older shut up shut up shut up!!! *goes to cry in the corner, only to have my cat come and comfort me*

Speaking of age though, are you 18 yet? Surely you must be 18 by now. We've been speaking since like February and you had the awesomeness of a Level 18 back then. IF NOT WHEN DO YOU BECOME 18 I WANT TO KNOW SO I CAN GIVE YOU CAKE.

Ahhh, Sail! Of course I've seen that! In my head I registered that as a Nanalew video, which is why it didn't spring to mind when you first mentioned it in a conversation about Meekakitty . I love watching their making of videos and their outtakes videos, they're the funniest **** ever. My favourite was the outtakes for Love You Like A Love Song. It's like 16 or so minutes long but it's totally worth it if you haven't seen it already!

Julia Roberts is famous for her smile! That's her trademark in this world, so I'm not surprised you picked up on that! I've never actually seen her rendition of Tinkerbell, but I did know she was in that movie. Also I realise you are baiting me, but I'm going to take it anyway. SHE CAN DO MORE THAN PLAY FAIRIES YOU MONSTER!

I'll do more than give you another film she's been in, I"ll give you a list of them!

Erin Brockovich - for which she won an Oscar!
Notting Hill - the best and most critically acclaimed romantic comedy probably of all time!
    My Best Friend's Wedding
Stepmom - most heartbreaking movie ever

oh, pfft. There are too many. Here, look for yourself, lazy http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000210/

I am very excited for both of her upcoming works! In one of them she is playing the daughter of Meryl Streep (you know Meryl Streep, the one who played that great lady Margaret Thatcher... the one who gets **** done?)

I... don't believe I've seen Sail. I mean, it's entirely possible that I have (she has a LOT of videos) but it's not ringing any bells. PLEASE DON'T KILL ME I'M SO YOUNG.

And yes of freaking course I know who Julia Roberts is! She's in my list of 5 actresses whose every movie I must see in cinemas without exception! Or, as I could put it less long-windedly, she's in my top 5 favourite actresses!

Why do you like her now (and why ONLY now)? What did she do to grab your attention

lmao people do that to me all the time. I like a song and they're like 'OMFG YOU LIKE THAT BAND? I LOVE THAT BAND!" and then I have to go through the humiliating and disappointing process of telling them that that is the only song of theirs I actually know . And I know it because of Meekakitty

I have made the executive decision that you will show me these Photoshop-type things!

Now I'll sing you one of my all-time favourites, an indie classic!

    ~Don't unplug me
    Or just shut me down
    Please just love me
    With your steel heart!
    I'd reboot you
    If you'd look at me
    With those cold eyes
    One more time!~

It's OK, I won't let you go bald! I'll whip you up a new batch of treacle, but I can't promise it'll protect you from sterility. You're too awesome to become a father, I'm sorry. I'll have to make an executive decision on that one

I don't need to think of the children, the censor does it for me!

OK so it turns out I was right and you were wrong about treacle. I Googley Imaged it and this is what came up.

I'm resisting the urge saying "nee nur nee nur nee nur", but then it occurred to me that if you think treacle is a pale sickly yellow, then that means yours must be. We have to do something to fix your treacle. Without treacle of proper consistency and colour, what's your life going to be like? Maybe you'll go sterile. Or bald.

And screwing does indeed have some sexual connotations, whereas illegitimate children are merely the result of fornication and don't need to have their descriptor censored as though there is something wrong with being the product of fornication! You have given me an idea for a fantastic new TV show though. I shall call it "The Bastards of Babylon", centering on the *****'s children .

I don't think that's Chelsea Handler's football team. Any team named after her would have far more black rappers and Jew 'fros. And Mexican dwarves. You think I'm making this up, but I'm honestly not.

And I love that you're always thinking of my safety, but I will be a proud supporter of Margaret Thatcher until the day I die! Her conservative values are disgusting and her policies questionable as would the policies be in any conservative government, but SHE GETS **** DONE. I will walk around with a Thatcher mask, and if anybody tries to fight me... well, I'll just win like Thatcher would. I'll take a leaf out of her book and get **** done. They won't know what hit them!

I'm guessing Kendra Dumbledore was like the ***** of Babylon anyway, with a name like Kendra. I can smell the two-dollar Chardonnay on that one!

I don't have the Sacred Knowledge of the Canon, Capitalised for Greater Effect, this is true. Which is why I have to ask you... is treacle meant to be pale yellow? It just occurred to me that outside the Potterverse, I have never heard of treacle... but I imagined it to be somewhat like toffee, and therefore a more golden colour.

And you might me screwing with me (though I can't imagine why you'd censor 'bastard' and not 'screwing') but you must never spell her name with a Y. She takes great offense to it. Charlize Theron (if you don't know who that is, then you lack more than just treacle) spelt her name 'Chelsey' in an e-mail once and her response was "what, was I born in a trailer park?". And she has a point, that is a very trailer-park way to spell that name

And I think it far more likely that if there is a Chelsea Handler (or Chelsy Hansder) football club, it was named after her and not the other way around!

As to Margaret Thatcher, lmfao. I won't quote her because I realise that most of the quotes I have of her were from Meryl Streep portraying her in The Iron Lady and therefore I cannot vouch for their authenticity.

OHHHHHHHHH. I think this might be time for that long-winded speech about how remembering the tiny details doesn't matter, only the emotional journey. That is the one card I have to play, outside of that I've totally lost my treacle

And I thought you meant Kendra Wilkinson the ex-Playboy bunny because she has a reality show on E where Chelsea Handler also has her show! I thought you were just being knowledgeable about the world of Chelsea Handler .

And if your artwork isn't forming, I have some other quotes. Perhaps you'd like me to quote you some Margaret Thatcher?

About Me

  • About Barrels
I was born. Then I grew up. But that wasn’t fun, so I grew back down again and started catching Pokémon.

Most people are decent - and the more friends you make, the better life gets. So if you'd like to say hi, go ahead and do that thing! ;)
I like creating. Writing, drawing, vidding, programming… you name it, there’s a good chance I’ve failed abysmally at it. (Probably had fun though.)

In general? Philosophising about stuff I’ll never know, reading Brian Michael Bendis, ordering things I have no need of from Amazon, arting around in Photoshop and watching old Munsters episodes. Not all at the same time.

Snorlax. Since forever. I used to dream about getting a big ol’ Snorlax-shaped beanbag.

…Who am I kidding? I *still* dream about that.
