episode 3: the trio (korra, mako, bolin) needs to enter money for the tournament prize pot. bolin gets offered a shady job to earn some money, but he is captured by amon's group. korra and mako go undercover and attend amon's rally. amon reveals his power: the ability to take away someone's bending. the trio gets home safely. korra and tenzin see amon as a huge threat.

episode 4: mako is working extra to gather the money for the tournament prize pot. after work, a girl hits him with her motorized scooter. she apologizes for knocking him down. this girl, asami, is very beautiful. she recognizes him as mako of the fire ferrets. asami treats him to dinner, reveals that she is the daughter of the man who invented automobiles in their era, and wants to sponsor the fire ferrets. meanwhile, korra is pressured by the media and councilman to face amon. korra challenges amon to a one on one duel at midnight. korra believes he is a no-show, and she lowers her guard. amon plays dirty and captures korra, but says he will finish her last. korra is knocked out and has visions of an older aang, sokka, and toph. as korra gains consciousness, tenzin rushes to her side. korra is shaken up by recent events and amon's terror.
