'Fairly' good? FAIRLY GOOD? I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW IT'S A WORK OF EFFING GENIUS. xD Picasso himself would be blown backwards by the sheer awesomity I have created.

xD oh, I felt the naughtiness as I typed it. *bows head in shame* Apparently rinsing your brain under a hot tap works wonders where cleaning's concerned. If you're me and it fits through your ear easily anyway. So you could try that

Oh, I see! You're a spatula. (No, wait, you have to peel the ladies off with a spatula. Forgive me.) And a potential polygamist, by the sound of things. xD

thank you, sir. My fingers have been suitably punished, I assure you.

xD and I would completely, 100% watch that movie. Oh yes. (Also I haven't linked you to MY idea for a fangame yet so here you go shameless advertising.)

I'd go with the 'high metabolism' explanation, if only because I can see it sounding more scientifically inclined in-game.

I have been considering my favourite character very hard and come to this conclusion. DO YOU DISAGREE?! xD

'Almost all of my real life friends are girls'. Yay fellow non-conformist! That's great, means you don't have to worry about writing an uneven gender split - I'm fairly sure you can find all the guys you need on this forum.

N-no falsetto? D: But that's my favourite part of every game! xD

xD you can have lulz in the midst of the apocalypse! Probably. What good's any game without a generous lashing of humour?

Ah, that is a good idea. Varying lifespans would definitely make you view all the Pokémon differently (rather than simply amorphous members of a species called Pokémon, lol.)

AND YES YES I DO I TOTALLY DO. I'm Pikachu! (Legally, too, omg you won't believe it but it's actually true. My first quiz and it tells me I'm a Pikachu. I WAS OVER TEH MOONZ. Best character? Ummm... I love my partner like a wife but that's a wee bit clichéd. Lemme think about that one. I'll have to get back to you.

Yeah, yeah, I'm a male. xD I am somewhat surprised that you've managed to find more ladies willing to lend their vocal talents, however, it's usually the other way around. (The amount of PC mods where the - male - creator just puts on a falsetto... *cringes*) And yay I'm welcomed in! *hugs*

Oh, I see! That's really cool, to have the story switch between two protagonists until they meet. Rarely done, I think.

I was thinking Ollie's mother could be a Kangaskhan. It's legal, look! If only because they've always come across as fairly tough mommies to me. xD

Oooh, placing my vote for Darkrai! Just cos he was SO evil in Mystery Dungeon and yeah canon yeah *blibbers off fannishly*

And as luck would have it, I've recently purchased a studio-quality microphone. IT'S HUGE OMG BIGGER THAN MY LAPTOP So I'd love to help out once you start getting the voice actors together!

Nena is my favourite. Not entirely sure why... she just appears to be a thoroughly interesting NPC. (If indeed she is an NPC. Are you planning to give players the option to play as different characters?) Oliver is wonderfully conflicted and deep, as all good heroes should be, and Marcel sounds like an internet troll in a world without internet. Poor Marcel.

I do have a couple questions, if you'd be so kind as to answer. Which region does the game take place in (a new one, I'm guessing)? Is Oliver's mother a Charizard? Lol, she wouldn't have to be. What software are you planning to make the game in? And who's the Big Bad?

...That's enough for now, I think. :D It sounds epic.

Just like gravity, I see x3

Well, Oliver is a Charmeleon with a grumpy attitude and a serious minded disposition. More truthfully though, he's absent minded and rather calm, even while intelligent. He wants to be taken seriously and seen as a hero, which he will make a wish to Jirachi to become, and thus displacing Verdanté as the Hero of Truth. (Also called the Sage of Truth.)
He does adore stories and their heroes, and he genuinely wants to live as one, but overbearing pressure from his mom (A former hero herself, who traveled with Saber) and the villagers he lives with has cracked him and ruptured his self-esteem. His mom is excessively tough in raising him, and he's expected to be heroic, so he has no positive reinforcement, you see.

The second is Nena, a Dewott. Despite her enigmatic and lively personality, she's actually rather calm and intelligent. She acts dull-witted and goofy so that others will like her, and she's grown into the mask. Her own insecurities have driven her to heroism, and she's often the first to take action and do what's right. She's the rightful Hero of Ideals, but she's just not ready yet. Oliver's wish will spin things out of control and rush her into her role as the Knight of Ideals, even while she's not ready.
(She doesn't know she's supposed to be the hero yet.)

And lastly is Saber (His real name is Marcel), a Keldeo, and a hero as previously mentioned. Without any heroic things to do, he's become despondant, immature, and selfish. He's cut off contact with his former friends, and wanders around the continent aimlessly. He's also sick of being unnappreciated for his former heroics, despite the fact that they happened several decades ago. His personal story will be focused on redemption.

Any questions? Feel free to ask, for I seek a large tip. :3

Internet! Oh, how I miss you when you spurn me! 'Tis a cruel mistress, to be sure, flitting in and out of my life with all the commitment of a fickle leaf twisting in the breeze.

...Anyway. ;) Only a thousand suns? You have displeased your benefactor, Whimsy. Pray this does not happen again. kidding

And Oliver? How can you taunt me with the promise of a feast of detail, then dangle but a single morsel above my aching lips? SERVE IT UP NOW AND SERVE IT UP FAST, WAITER. (Or no tip for you.) :D

I have had similar problems, juggling a complex mess of conversations is no small task. I apologize for my own needless disappearances as well~ They cancel eachother out, so it's okay, right? :3

I have put that power to use immediately. My adoration for you is immeasurable.

And I have three seperate protagonists. They're all intertwined so by the plot, and the overarching themes inside. Though if I must choose, Oliver stands out the brightest.
Would you rather enjoy a delicious platter of detail? Or will a brief snack suffice?

I must apologise on behalf of my misbehaving internet. It's been running around the house in circles, waving my router above its head and using all manner of obscene language. I have been chasing it with my laptop to no avail until now, cursing it with equal vigour. So if I disappear again, apologies in advance.

For using the word 'bodacious', I hereby grant you the right to wear a nice hat whenever you feel like it. YES EVEN INDOORS. That's the kind of power I wield, sir; you'd do well to be wary.

And I agree - the usual cache of RPG tradition has plenty to offer, but it's necessary these days to offer a bit of a spin. (Or a twirl, if you prefer.) Who's your protagonist, if I may be so bold as to ask?

About Me

  • About Whimsyful
I'm what you would call... Flimsy.
I don't have one set mood or personality, I'm really some sort of free flowing goo - maybe jelly, that shifts through different molds. I could be absurdly silly and goofy one moment, or serious yet absentminded the next.

I do tend to be a mite scatterbrained regardless though...
I enjoy long walks on the bea-

Actually, I don't like the outside much at all.
I'm more than satisfied with daydreaming and more importantly, stories. Writing, reading, watching, playing... No matter the media or the presentation, I love a good story.
I have an obsessive fondness for My Diminutive Equine and Nook-Storable Creatures.
