Not yet, I'll see if my brother's interested. I heard about the censorship it's getting in Europe. I haven't watched any of the newer episodes recently due to college, so I fear I'll be missing out references/tie-ins from those episodes in the new game.

Hey, sorry it took me so long to answer! I wanted to think on it for a bit. As a whole, I don't object to taxes. Taxes are just another power that the government has, and like any other power, it has the potential to be abused. It's abuse of the power of taxation that I object to. The best way to look at abuse of the power of taxation is to look at it through the prism of no taxation without representation (that tired old phrase we all learned in elementary school haha). If the people running the government aren't properly representing the interests and desires of their constituents, then their collection of taxes is unjust. Because in that case, taxes aren't being collected and used on behalf of the people, but rather in spite of them. That's why I think taxes should be minimized. People know best how to spend their own money, and minimizing taxes minimizes the potential for abuse.

Another thing to consider is this: you mentioned that taxes are necessary to keep the government running. But less than half of our taxes go towards running the government. Here's a video from Bill Whittle (one of my favorite political guys) where he breaks down the 2011 federal budget. Only about 33.7% of taxes actually paid for running the government in 2011. 5.4% was the interest on the federal debt, and the rest (about 60.9%) was spent on entitlements. Not trying to make a point against entitlements, but seeing the numbers puts it into perspective that the very little of what we pay in taxes actually pays for maintaining the government.

Well, I'd say that there really isn't a clear definition. Liberals label conservatives discriminatory/elitist fascist, whereas conservatives label liberals as controlling socialist/elitist fascists.

Two tenets that seem to follow most definitions are nationalism and totalitarianism.

Nationalism, which could be considered in simplest terms a population that is patriotic, loyal, reverent, to their nation.

Totalitarianism, which could be considered in simplest terms a state that seeks to control the private and public components of their citizen's lives.

For instance, conservatives seek to control lives by instituting policy that conserves mores and conventions of the nation. Whereas, liberal seek to control lives by instituting controls over health, environment, and other regulations. Both seek to control the lives of citizens though social mandates, or laws, that define which behaviors are and are not acceptable. Though, it's a matter of degree. Especially since there is so much polarization, both sides are competing for control, thus, we are considered either a democracy or polity. Though a totalitarian state would be controlled by one unified group of elitists.

In this respect, a single group of elites are not controlling the lives of citizens. There is, perhaps, too much partisanship among elites, and thus, constituents. Which is more chaos, and the opposite of totalitarianism in certain respects. Some would argue a balance of control and freedom is necessary for a stable, yet happy state.

I ramble, but this is a difficult subject to tackle, it's difficult to separate terms that are loaded with generalizations and connotations. Both sides tend to condemn the other for taking to much control over the lives of people, and disrupting freedom. Thus, each side calls the other fascist, but ultimately, this dynamic, could be considered hyper-polarized, conflicting, and thus less uniform, totalitarian, and nationalistic.

You listen mostly to metal eh (iirc)? Do you ever feel out of touch with a music scene? Like stop listening/downloading for a while and then feel like a hermit when there's this song that everybody knows but you haven't heard.

omg that california sun must be incredible ;; I was in Mexico, now I'm back home freezing my ass off.

Vic II is strategy, yeah. It's a spreadsheet game - you lead a country, and all the action happens in population groups which function in their own little economy and it's really complicated XD Actually, it's very interesting... you can explore how countries developed over the 1800's, which is especially important for the US as that century was its ascent to power, at least economically. Last I remember, laissez-faire economics was broken, but with patches and mods you might be able to get away with laissez-fair and not implode your economy? As Germany I started by choosing a party with a state capitalist (cuz I'm the Kaiser) because I was sick of capitalists making not very rational investments, but as the economy grew, I gave them more freedoms because I couldn't handle it out of sheer size

Anyways. If you're into politics, economic policy, foreign policy and all that it might be up your alley An American empire is fun to build

Omigod, not sure if I told you this before, but once I made added restrictions to abortions to appease the conservatives without pissing off the liberals too much (I mean, I'm not abolishing it right?) and IT WORKED. Insta popularity, then I pushed through some more important reform

Why not show no mercy to the religious? I used to do Creationism vs Evolution as equal but... that policy was kind of insulting to the hi-tech and science backed country I'd directed, so I changed it as soon as I could.

With the latest season of the Pokemon Anime coming to a close, I want to take this time to make a confession that I hate the current English titles of the Pokemon Anime's seasons. I've now taken the liberty of updating them to give an accurate representation of what's in store for you should you watch them for the first time:

Pokémon: Indigo League Defeat

Pokémon: Orange Islands (he actually wins this one, but it isn't canon to the games, so fuk you)

Below are a list of video games that kick so much ass that I'd recommend them to anyone who wants to have good taste. Separated by types of games:

Open World Sandbox:

- Mount & Blade:
You roam around the countryside populated by Teutonics, Vikings, Mongolians, etc. building an army, fighting in (somewhat) realistic medieval style warfare. Allows you to do anything with what you build up: declare loyalty to a lord, fight bandits, conquer a kingdom, marry a...

I'm lazy.

I hate doing things besides play video games, read nonsense, and watch stupid crap. But often I get people asking: "hey, how can you be so lazy???"

Some people think it's easy to be lazy. They're wrong. Being lazy is ironically a real chore. So many things go into the act of laziness and you also have to deal with so much crap that people give you for being lazy that no everyone is able to do it.

Well, I'm here to help you become the
