    It's my "night time" music table, and it starts at 0x8A0000C. I can move it. So what, I move it and send you the ROM back?

    Will I still have the engine? I will see if I can move it. I seem stubborn, I know. But I'm just paranoid about data loss...

    Ok thanks heaps. If at any point I become annoying let me know and I will not hassle you ( I know this is very time consuming). I haven't touched much programming I'm learning from www.computerscienceforeveryone.com so it might take a while.

    Ok so what I want to do is set a break when the option for LR is selected in the option. Because there is no simple script as such because I use the DPad to select the mode, I am not sure where the game makes that exact change. So how do you set a break during realtime?

    Ok thank you that cleared a lot of things up. There is still so much I don't know.

    If you are loading 0300500C which always changes because of DMA, then why do you always obtain the same result?

    How do I know to get the location of Breakpoints correctly, because I have tried to set a breakpoint on the screen in options with LR, L=A and HELP, they all change the location when I hit 'Trace'.

    But tracing these end in loops and it never ending, so I am stumped. I hope the options is a complex part to hack??

    O.K thanks I think I get it thank you very much! So you put a break in the ROM area (08) instead of WRAM which is where I was typing?

    So I thought I set a break point at 0x13B900 in the ROM and when it only freezes when the option LR is chosen, so I am definitely on the right track.

    It stopped at mov r0, 0x0 but I can't navigate back to where it came from.

    I can't trace backwards because it has jumped to the location from another instruction. I can go forward. Is there a trace back function?

    That's the trouble I can't find the line, I open the options menu hit trace and come to 0x0202063C. I put a break point and the game breaks. So I guess that's good?

    Then I have know idea how to follow it because the 'follow' option does nothing when I select it.

    Right now I can't find a good breakpoint tutorial and it is extremely annoying because I can't even find a breakpoint; and its too frustrating to search and get no where 100% of the time.

    The asm works fine but I can't track anything in memory viewer and breakpoints fail heaps.

    Sorry to suck at this but why isn't this changing in memory viewer, to my understanding:

    push {r0-r3,r14}
    ldr r0, ramlocation \\loads 0300500C
    ldr r0, [r0] \\ Loads the address as a value,
    mov r1, #0x14 \\puts a value of 0x14 (20 dec) in r1
    add r0, r0, r1 \\add 0x14 to 0300500C
    ldr r1, New_Options \\ Loads the value for new options 00000112
    strh r1, [r0] \\ stores the halfword (0x0112) into the address 0x03005020
    Return:
    pop {r0-r3}
    pop {pc}

    Surely this is wrong but I really can't figure it out,

    Thanks for the asm but it doesn't fix the problem sorry. I need that little box that appears at the bottom of the screen when you press start. Since I can't find the image, I should skip the check to pop it up? What are your thoughts?

    Thanks, I have sort of edited the palette to fix it, but its still a rough looking thing, although minor but yeh. Thanks man!

    Ah, I see. I'll try to learn the basics. I will also need to get PGE compatible with it, right? When I do this, I only plan on including up to 493 and no more.

    Oh my. That seems quite hard to learn. :/
    I'll read it thoroughly later.
