    omg the Platinum Dex? This is gonna be one awesome hack XD
    oh yes that's true. Especially since you can take inspiration from the game you're remaking
    But there are harder stuff in remakes, too. Like how to add new stuff (to make it seem more different than the original one) to the storyline and still getting the feel of playing that old game. HGSS almost managed it, but I suppose the new moves, abilities, etc. ruined the part since it had some unrelated to Johto features.

    I also hope the mapping and graphics go well. It was hard work on the features and ASM, now let's reflect it outside the gameplay.

    if you completed about 80% of the first beta you may want to consider putting the thread up to get some pre-feedback comments
    I think the amount of work you are putting into this hack is wonderful. This is sure to become a good hack and all

    A modulo is taken during the routine. No joke. I looked at it, and when it is calculating the palette slot of the palette slot byte, it goes [palette slot byte] % [0xF] = [Upper Half of Byte]. So, yeah, the 1X makes no difference.

    I noticed, that after it went through and loaded all of the standard palettes, it went back and reloaded palettes 1 and 0 into their proper slots. Maybe there is a secondary palette table????????? This table may not have been expanded, so it causes an error and the palette isn't loaded. I wish I had more time to do research since this topic intrigues me.

    lol that's true I guess; it's hard to find RAM that can be stored via in-game machine because when a player saves in-game it's hard to save ASM and RAM changes

    Ok. High School is really busy. Not even taking into account that I go to a Magnet school. So sorry for not being on much. That aside, I'm working on a map editor like EM or AM, except it'll have a ton of cutting-edge features. Please help me come up with a name.

    I think you'll need to look into the part which says to the beeping music to stop playing, and change it to normal music. But then again, music itself can be variable for different trainers.

    I honestly don't know how you would go around adding this to the original routine, unless you somehow dump the pointer bytes of the original music somewhere and re-insert it when HP isn't red anymore.

    But I'm not good with ASM :\

    Btw, have you implemented different sounds at different times of the day yet? Or does it take too much of the music table or something?

    I see. I won't be doing the forme changes for Burmy xD
    Maybe I could use Jambo's patch as a base and reduce it to 493. Would that work?
