"Wanda, great work!" Oliver called out in triumph, pumping his fist in the air as Vesel meowed in glee. The trainer grumbled away, carrying his injured Minccino and stomping into the grass ahead. Oliver Caulette was on a roll! Oh, dear. Hear it comes. Maybe it would be positive this time.

This time, the scene was completely white for a full minute. Oliver took a step forward, and the floor immediately caved around his foot. It resembled the physical properties of jello. He frowned, raising his foot. He kneeled down and poked the ground right under his body. It was solid, completely unlike the substance he had stepped on. He reached out with his finger and poked the white floor, and yet again it wobbled like a water bed. Giggling, Oliver threw his shoes off and hurled himself onto the ground, bouncing high into the air. He did a somersault, laughing all the way through. When he fell down, the first sensation was the complete opposite of a gelatin-like softness, but rather burning hot, hard sand. Oliver grunted in pain, picking up some of the sand and running it through his fingers. He looked around again, and realized the scene had changed completely. Now, he appeared to be on a deserted island in the middle of an ocean. He was lying on the shore of it, so Oliver turned around to see a forest of palm trees, vines, and wildlife behind him. He could sense a slight hum coming from the trees nearest to him. Still weak from his fall, he crawled closer to the greenery, stretching his arms out to propel himself forward. The humming grew louder, and eventually the sounds of singing entered along with the constant buzzing of the forest. It sounded foreign, like a Hawaiian folk dancing song of some sort, with chanting and rhythmic beats. The singers had a deep voice that echoed through Oliver's body, and he inched closer and closer, drawn in by the energy of the foliage. The closer he got, the more intense the sounds became, the singing gradually becoming shouting, the humming raising multiple octaves, all crowding Oliver's earbuds. He could now see images of something in the distance of the trees. It seemed to be the singers of the new tune paired with the humming; a group of floating Hawaiian masks, jumping up and down to the beat of the music. Their mouths moved in sync with the screaming, enveloping Oliver in a sea of sound. Energy coursed through his body, and overwhelmed him. He shut his eyes hard for a second, and opened them again. He was floating now, but not in the forest anymore - at least he didn't think so. There were palm trees floating nearby, but their roots were ripped out and not attached to ground. Instead of the horizon around him, the place he was in was a bright yellow with greens, oranges, pinks, blues, and reds flowing through little strings around him. The masks that he had seen in the forest were now much bigger than him, and they had multiplied in number. The humming had increased even further, and the Hawaiian masks continued their demonic chant. The overlapping noises were hard for Oliver to take, and his brain turned to mush as he began to see all kinds of things around him, from a gigantic dragon made completely out of sand to a gigantic white blob. He sniffed heavily, and tried to find a piece of land to step on, but he couldn't move far from the spot he was already in. He wanted to stop the madness, but Oliver knew it would stop when it was supposed to. Usually, there was a meaning to when something like this happened to him, and something this substantial could only mean... Before he could finish his own thoughts, he felt a sharp pain erupt in both of his ears. He instinctively set a finger in both of them, and pulled out two fingers doused in blood. Startled, Oliver wiped the stuff on his shirt, only to realize his shirt was gone. He only wore a skirt made of leaves, and there was a pattern painted on his chest that he couldn't recognize. It was black paint it looked to resemble the patterns on the colorful Hawaiian face masks. They continued to howl their chant and the humming buzzed violently around him. The masks began to surround Oliver, and before he could do anything, he couldn't see the yellow anymore. The masks began moving in a circular emotion around him, their chant losing all meaning and become nonsense. Random shrieks and bouts of anger arose in the face's voices as they closed in on Oliver. He couldn't do anything but hold his fingers to his ears and wince as the blood poured out profusely. Suddenly, the biggest mask of them all slowly moved forward from its group and opened its mouth extremely wide. Before he could even figure out what was going on, the mask had fallen on top of Oliver, catching him in its gaping mouth. Oliver shut his eyes again, horrified to view what might be inside this creature. When he opened his eyes again, he was in a room. The humming had stops, and the chants were nonexistant. The mask clan was nowhere to be found. The place he was now in looked to be a normal living room. The walls were a calm blue, and the two couches that circled around the television were both a cream color that complimented the beige rug. A desk held a container of pills, which seemed out of place in this completely normal room. It was then when he noticed something in the corner of his eyes. He turned to see a dark brown drawer with a plethora of books. On top of it lay... a group of Hawaiian masks. Oliver inhaled quickly, frightened from this sight. Suddenly, a noise came from the other side of the room. It was a child, entering the room from a door to the left of the television. He seemed a little younger than Oliver, but his physical appearance slightly resembled someone. Oliver then realized who. It wasn't a scene of himself as a child, though. He had never been in this room. So who was it? Curious, he kept watching the scene unfold. The child sat down on the couch, emotionless. He was wearing a scraggy white shirt with small cuts and scratches scattered across it, and smudges of dirt as well. His shorts seemed to be in the same condition, although they were gray. He sat there, an empty look on his face. And then, a huge frown formulated, changing his expression completely. He fell off the couch in an abrupt matter, falling to his knees on the floor. His long brown hair covered his eyes as he looked down and swished with intensity as his little fingers scrunched up the rug. The child's entire body was shaking now, from some sort of unseen pressure. Oliver wanted to look away, but he knew he couldn't. He grimaced as the child looked up, his left eye misty and his right completely blood shot. The child was biting his lip so hard that a drop of blood fell from his face. Oliver couldn't help but realize that it was contain the screams he wanted to release. He jumped up onto the couch now, ripping his shirt off and using his long nails to scratch his skin. He shoved his face forward as if he was possessed, moving to the desk that the container lay on. He snatched it and fumbled with it, trying to open with it as fast as possible. He did so, and downed every single pill in the container. He finished them off, and slumped back down on the couch. His face was emotionless again, but---wait. No, it wasn't. Oliver couldn't believe his eyes. A smile emerged from the child's face. Before Oliver could even respond, blood began dripping from the child's eyes. Scared out of his mind, Oliver yelled at the top of his lungs, trying to stop it all.

Like magic, Oliver was back in reality again. He lay on the floor, gazing upward to see both Wanda and Vesel leaning over him, concerned looks on their faces. He slowly got up, moving at a careful pace. He could feel pain all throughout his body. Vesel purred in relief, and Wanda nudged up against his arm. Oliver let a tiny grin escape. He patted the water type's head slightly, and hushed Vesel. He sat there for a few minutes, gaining his bearings back. He started with simple things. His name was Oliver Caulette. He was a pokemon trainer. He had two pokemon that he loved with all his heart. He... Oliver stopped. He looked at Vesel, who had stopped purring. The fire pokemon looked over at Wanda, and she nodded her head in some sort of approval. The hyena crawled up into Oliver's lap and tilted his head slightly. Oliver quickly understood.

"You want to know what happened?" Vesel purred in response. That surely meant they did. Oliver could definitely image. Seeing their trainer suddenly collapse on the ground and become unresponsive for any amount of time could be traumatic. He nodded as his senses came back to him. He could see clearly again, and his ears seemed to be... He stuck his finger in them to be sure. Yes, they weren't bleeding. Nor were his eyes, for that matter. He stood up, scratching his head. For some reason, the sun seemed too intense from where he was sitting. He motioned for his pokemon to follow him as he plopped down under a tree. They curled up next to Oliver again, and he began to explain, when he heard a rustling nearby.

    "Vesel, check that out, please."

About Me

  • About Skymin
Hey there! I'm Skymin! At the moment, I'm twenty-one years old and I work casual at EB Games, have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation and am working towards my dream career of being an animator. I love to draw and it's one of the only things I'm really good at.

My life so far has been pretty great, except for the odd tumble. I spent a good lot of Primary School friendless, being excluded or having fake friends who would later hurt me by leaving me friendless and excluded. I did a lot of crying and most often retreated to a sketch pad to draw out my woes. Though it was a long time ago, I still remember the people who did this to me and left me with certain ideas and concepts burned into my brain that will never go away and will most likely never forget it. Despite this, I care not to hold a grudge, only laugh how fat and ugly they all seem to have gotten to match their disgusting personalities. I have made many a friend since then and I'm not afraid now to tell those girls how miserable they made me feel.

I joined PokéCommunity after a half year of High School filled with disappointing friendships, all ending similarly to my previous ones. I hoped this place would provide me with a sanctuary, a secret haven where I could run away from the world and join people who all had similar likes to me. Hopefully here, I could finally make a friend that wouldn't enjoy stabbing me in the back.

I didn't stick to one section when I came here, I kind of wandered about throughout the Diamond and Pearl boards, the Trainer Cards, the Emulating sections and the Fan Clubs. I created two different Trainer Card shops, joined a few Hacks as a spriter, was an proud member of the Latias and Latios Fan Club and a small voice in the community. It was throughout these boards that I met my two first and closest online friends; Kai and Liam.

Then, I found my way into Art Boards, reluctantly posting a random fan fiction I made up about myself and my short adventure in the "Elemental Islands". The fanfiction itself was quite well received by the people who bothered to critique it and together using their advice, made eight chapters of illegible scrawl. As the readers began putting more and more input into my fanfiction, someone pointed out what it sounded a lot like; a roleplay. I had no idea what it was and little did I knew that I would be spending the next eight years hanging around these mysterious boards.

The first thing I did as a roleplayer was make a really bad roleplay based on my fanfiction. It lasted about two months and was about something ridiculous like hybrids and talking Pokémon. None-the-less, it got me started into writing, though I didn't write again for almost a year, being on hiatus due to school and what not. From then on, I was on and off in PokéCommunity, hanging around when my roleplay was active and leaving for extended periods of time until I found another roleplay in which I would stay around (then rinse and repeat).

I became moderator during my longest time around in here in 2011, as my graduation from school and my gap year left me with a lot of time to do nothing. I poured a lot of time into these boards and eventually became moderator as the previous one stepped down in early August. I'm very proud to be moderator and though I get rather lazy at times, I do love these boards and hope to spend many more year as the fearless leader of the Roleplay section.

Speaking of roleplays, if you want to read a good one, go read Atlantis Awakening. Trust me, it's a doozy, ;)

I have a great lot of friends here now, the good majority of them you can see in my Friends List (though some have left PC, but I still remain in contact in them or still refer to them as my friends!)

In the other department, I enjoy music, art, comics and video games. I'm pretty much in a open relationship with my Xperia Z3, my 3DS, my PSVita, my PS4 and my PS3, it's no big deal. My favourite bands are Angels & Airwaves, Fall Out Boy, Blink-182 and Panic! at the Disco, but I also love bands like Glitch Mob, Pendulum, Madeon and soundtrack music from my favourite movies and games. I love a crap tonne of different series' and franchises such as Scott Pilgrim, The Blue Exorcist, Being Human, Teen Wolf, Supernatural, Avatar (LOK and TLA) and Steven Universe (just to name a few). You can also find me outside PC at places such as tumblr (sky-min or skymindraws), DeviantArt (maddytheskymin), Twitter (skymin0), PlayStation Network (Maddaye) and Facebook (Skymin).

So, that's me if you bothered to read through this (it took well over an hour to write!). That's PC me. Hopefully, I'll see you around the boards, I'm mostly around the Roleplay Corner and Lounge. If you wanna talk, don't be afraid to throw a hi my way!
