I see. Couldn't we achieve that by using the ram and malloc, or even the rom?

For example we'd first use malloc to get an address that has space for, lets say, 12 bytes, store the value of the 3 parameter registers in the appropriate addresses and then call our function with one argument, the pointer to that address in the ram?

Actually now that I think of it, isn't this what stack pointer does?

Hey, thanks man! I'm going to check the post more thoroughly tomorrow.

I have some questions thooo. Malloc (8002B9C) returns an address from the IWRAM that has enough free space for the space parameter(in r0) when called? Memcpy (0x81E5E78) copies bytes from wherever (rom, i/ewram) to wherever (rom/ i/ewram)? Also, there something I don't get, i saw it in that post and remembered it. What exactly does this do: str r0, [sp, #0x20] ?

Just wanted to say thanks for that long rant post in the Daily Chit Chat thread. As someone with little free time who is struggling to learn how to debug/mess with the disassembly and, from there, ASM, it was a nice way to call out leechers and low quality hackers while at the same time motivating the rest of us silent learners to redouble our efforts. There are people out there who want to learn and will do what is needed to do so. I hope you won't let the majority spoil it for us and get you so discouraged that you'll give up.

And is the Spanish community really that far ahead of us? I can read Spanish pretty well, maybe I should do some snooping and bring back translated findings.

in asm how do u code ?
like for eg in microprocessor i had quetion like call the keyboard subroutine and calculate values (values given by user)
how will it be in asm
i have seen code but i dont understand what it does all i get to know is something is pushed in stack and poped from stack
can u explain a small asm code in like some question answer sort like the example i gave above thats the main thing i did not understand

    inx\inr
    dcx\dcr
    add
    sub
    jnz
    jmp
    jm
    cmc
    stc
