I know how to read files, it is the whole loading strings from them and then using it that confuses me, especially when things are in different classes.

Not hours, just redefining how things work. For example, in DC I have an expanded OW set. This means I had to change the ini for NSE. So now, the ini doesn't work with a clean FR rom. This is super annoying, and I constantly have to switch them back and forth. What I am proposing, is when a new game is loaded, somewhere (very end of the rom? No one ever uses the last bytes at 0x08FFFFFF), a 2 byte number is stored in the rom that we can access. This is then compared with the recorded opened roms. If there isn't a match, or it is FF FF, it assigns the next number in the series to those bytes and creates a new section in the ini for it. It will then copy the data from the base game (like BPRE) to serve as a starting point, but then the user can change that data without disrupting the others. This would not be hard at all to implement.

lol, I already did and shared it with you. Branching is a way to work with things and not disturb the master. So, once we get a working version, we leave it alone. Then, we branch it, do some more work, and then once that is working, you merge it back. This way, the current build and the dev build are separate.

I already pushed one commit that sets up the basic design. I have never used this library before, but so far it isn't too bad. I'm still trying to figure it out.

Can you teach me how to load strings from a separate file? Right now, there aren't many strings, but they are in the program itself.

Also, I'm thinking of nested tabs for the design. For example, in the Pokemon Data Tab, have 4 more tabs inside of it for Stats, Learnable Moves (Egg Moves!), Pokedex, etc.

OH!, and a custom ini for your game. Instead of relying on the old BPRE and such, it knows your game personally. So, when you load your game for the first time, it copies the generic data into a brand new ini for your game. From there, you can modify it as needed. This way, there aren't conflicts.

Maybe it was just my imagination, but text input seemed to lag when adding another one. Like, I would type.... and then it would appear. Could be cause I was working in a Vbox on Lubuntu, but idk. Right now, there are 3 searches happening on every change.

I just found a couple of small nitpicks that are fixed in my latest commit, but not yet packaged. I'm going to add a hex to dec converter today and then repackage.
