SEGA is buying Altus, and now people are worried about their games becoming Japan-exclusive due to "not selling well" compared to western games like GTA V or CoD Ghosts.

Well the game is constantly getting 10/10 from critics, but 9/10 is still a good score for a GTA game.

Apologies for not replying for so long. My various attempts at trying this all ended up becoming walls of text and I took a break trying to think it over.

Anywho, Ace Attorney... It always does my heart good to see new people giving it a shot. You'd think that a game starring a lawyer would be boring, but the game just does everything right. To put it simply, it's my all-time favorite video game franchise. It's filled to the brim with murder cases, but it's a very light-hearted, funny franchise with very interesting cases. Every character is unique and quirky, and nearly every case is ridiculously... ridiculous. In a good and surprisingly believeable way.

Every game follows a basic formula. You play as a lawyer. With a bubbly female assistant younger than said lawyer that has a tragic backstory and is always loveable. The lawyer is constantly thrust into crazy case after crazy case, being truth-wanting heroes up against corrupt opponents who seek nothing more than victory. And I'm not just talking about the criminals. The prosecutors you face, at least at first, are very corrupt individuals who seek nothing more than defeating the lawyer and getting their client a Guilty verdict, albeit for different reasons. The exception being Klavier Gavin from Apollo Justice, but they still made that work.

I should also note that while the series is very light-hearted, it can get really sad when it wants to. The backstories of many of the characters can be really painful to watch, main and side alike. Heck, even the abuse sometimes changes from comedic to painful. But it's always in a good way.

And the logic required is very fun to use. While the game can be won solely on a playthrough merely consisting of trial and error, if you choose to actually use logic and thought to figure the cases out, nothing is more satisfying than pointing out the witness's contradictions and rubbing it in their face. Sure, the contradictions can be a little unforgiving at times, but it's always worth it even then, with the exclamation of "OBJECTION!" and the epic fingerpoint of epicness.

Trust me when I say this series doesn't nearly do the series Justice, but I didn't want to Wright out a Miles-long wall of text. So here you go, and I hope I specified how appealling it is well enough to convince you to give it a try. (Read this paragraph again when you know the names of every protagonist and it'll be funnier).

Oh, and just a note, the whole series is on DS, and the first three games are available on Wiiware and the Apple store. Hope that helps out. And do get the two upcoming games (Dual Destinies and Professor Layton vs.) when their out and when you've played the others when you get the chance. It's a great franchise, and worth putting time into when you get the chance.

If you have any other questions about it, don't hesitate to ask.

Hey its fine. Sorry for not posting in Reboot yet, my time is being siphoned away by League of Legends and Heartgold.

    The bunny is fine.

Also, thanks for the good wishes! Your message technically came about 3 hours after my birthday was over my time. But I appreciate it all the same.

Eh, I'm more likely to just have "for fun" wi-fi battles in "random matchup".

For the sake of progressing the story I think we should probably just move on.

Games I'm having trouble doing the ev training in: Pretty much everything from Gen3 onward. It just takes so LONG to make anything appear, and even longer for anything that's worth it.

And I suppose I could in theory keep to tier lists eventually, but I still wish to use my favorites. Meaning I'd need to expand on those I use and possibly find additional favorites along the way.

Even when I can scrape together the money for vitamins, and have the Macho Brace or other items, it still takes HOURS to find the right Pokémon to train against, even for one member of your team.

And with competitive battling, why limit yourself to certain Pokémon at all though? Why not just use your favorites? Are you allowed to do that instead of following the "tiers" thing?

    Sure thing.
