So after however many years I've been on The PokéCommunity, I've finally decided to write myself a biography. It's not going to be anything fancy or anything that's too interesting, simply for the reason that I feel this /block of text/ is only there to appease (1) my unlikely stalkers and (2) the feeling within that wants all my literature to fall into neatly arranged paragraphs of sizable length. If you didn't realize, that was a very long sentence.
I'm Gymnotide--and I'm however-many years of age; characteristic of my age is the undying distaste of having to update this biography at least once per year (so, I'll leave you to your calculations if you really care). Right now, I'm a college student--or I was at the time of writing this and have neglected to update it upon graduation. I'm native to New York City, but that's not where my college is. Come visit me; I dare you.
In terms of school, I'm a double-major in Classical Studies and Biology. For the former, I'm studying Ancient Greek and Roman culture, with a stronger interest in the Greek portion. If I can, I would like to study Ancient Medicine in particular (which leads into my love for all types of alternative medicines). Fun fact: I can actually read Classical Greek better than the majority of people on the Earth. For the latter, I am doing Core Biology with an emphasis on Evolutionary Studies. When I was in high school, I was much more attracted to the molecular portion. However, I've since changed my focus to something I enjoy more. It's a shame, though, that Evolutionary Studies is /still/ one of the most misunderstood sciences (and I can bet a tooth that you don't grasp it at all either).
Overall, I am also a pre-medical student. That means I have to take all the other Core Sciences as well--but, no big deal. Science is a fairly simple field to excel in. I might go to medical school; I might not. I know plenty about the mechanisms of the human body--but I'm no expert yet. I might end up as a physician, but being a physical therapist would be fantastic too. Worst case scenario, I end up being a veterinarian (but, hey, animals are top among my lists of favorite things).
On the side, I study a wide list of things. For example, I can boast a wide array of vocabulary (albeit eighty-percent of my lexicon serves no practical use) and an obnoxious amount of syntax and grammar knowledge. I also relish in trivia--mainly referring to /trivialities/ here--of all kinds (but especially relating to animals, fruits & vegetables, and science-related things). I'm the king of un-practicality.
I can also brag about my extensive knowledge in atheist theology (I'll tell you why atheists can be religious, why you're not "agnostic," and dozens of other technicalities that make people hate me) and mythology (I've been studying myths from around the world since I was young; nothing excites me more than a good cosmology).
Oh, but if you were wondering about Pokémon--I do know a lot about that too. Even at my age, I'm still an avid fan, perhaps nearing the edge of fanaticism. I keep check on a lot of gameplay mechanics (and update Bulbapedia accordingly) and know just about everything there is to know about the handheld games. That being said, I can put up a nice fight in competitive battling, but I'm no pro like those guys in the CBC.
