Alrighty well I'll maybe sign up in a couple days but I usually end up regretting signing up for this stuff so yeah XD What'll you do about having notices/advertising?

Maybe, we'll see XD I'm kinda bored of ygo at the moment and making decks seems like effort but maybe this is the thing to get me back into it haha. When's the closing date for entering?

If you can get Megan to post a forum-wide notice then it might do ok (I believe she's on DLoA for a couple days but I can always post it on her behalf if she's not back in time if you need it!) but I figure things like a YGO tournament require a lot of effort to take part in so I'm not sure how popular it'd be haha. It can't hurt to try at least XD

Challonge can randomize the seeds so it's not just sign-up order, so that shouldn't be a problem.

The same risk exists for any form of tournament I think, timezones and stuff could be a problem. We could ask for availability upon signup, but eventually, people are gonna play that wouldn't be during the same time slots or whatever.

If we happen to only be able to get 4-6 people, I think Round Robin may be the better method, but if we're shooting for higher, I'll prob go with Swiss.

For the first round it's just random, but after that, I'm using Challonge which will pair people up depending on points for every subsequent round.

The thing about Round Robin is, 7 rounds could take quite a long time. Swiss for 8 people usually is 3 rounds, and then the single elim for top 4 if we want to do that.

I was thinking doing a Swiss tournament, which is how they do it at my locals. So you get points for wins and draws (which there shouldn't be any), so people who get more points get paired to duel in later rounds. After however many rounds it could just end with the points leader, or they could play out top 4 (or whatever number depending on participants) single elimination style.

We could do those things. When were you thinking about doing the tournament? Maybe just wait until we have 8 or so people, then let them conduct their matches on their own time?

Yeah I've definitely wanted to host one, and we've brought it up many times, I just don't know how responsive people will be in a certain timeframe (like this weekend for example).

Thanks for the advice! I think I'm going to go for Shinx with Vulpix as my partner, or the other way around haha. Then I can recruit a water-type for those ground-types. :D I was a little addicted to hunting for Gummis in Blue Rescue Team, actually. xD; It's been so long since I last played so I'm pretty excited. ^ ^

    Thanks again! :3

    hi o/

So I'm beginning a new file on Explorers of Sky and I'm so stuck with choosing my starter Pokemon, since I love them all. xD Do you have any recommendations? :D I am leaning towards Shinx. <3

I think after the initial Ritual Beast hype the price has gone down a bit. I'd like it to go back up though so I can move my extra copy. I feel bad though, I got it off of some kid at locals for some Gate Guardian pieces lol.

Finally, a stable release! I guess it could've been a bit longer, but oh well.

To-do List:
  • Extend the song without repeating any verses
  • Optional: Liven up the drumroll
  • Optional: Create new transitions

My next remix will be "Through the Sea of Time" from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (Explorers), and then I'll be on hiatus for a while.

Okay, so I spent quite some time working on a logo for P:N, but now I can't even decide on which variation I want to use. Silly me. <_<

Honestly, the last three seem a bit obsolete, so...

So what is Project: Nexus?

It's my attempt to remix and/or remaster all of the best tracks from the DS game titled "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2011: Over the Nexus."
I might do tracks from other games, such as Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, Ape Escape, or Croc, but for now my top priority is Yu-Gi-Oh.
I'll be using this blog to keep track of my remix progress, as well as post any finished/unfinished pieces (and maybe even samples) via YouTube.
