Thanks! My only goal late game was wearing his team down enough for the Azumarill sweep. Looking back at the replay, I'm noticing some mistakes on both sides, so I'll work on it.

You don't have to look at this right now, whenever you feel like it is fine, but this is what came out of what started in the team-building workshop:

    Kyurem-Black @ Life Orb
    Ability: Teravolt
    EVs: 56 Atk / 252 SpA / 200 Spe
    Mild Nature
    - Ice Beam
    - Earth Power
    - Fusion Bolt
    - Roost

    Gardevoir @ Gardevoirite
    Ability: Trace
    EVs: 24 Def / 232 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Hyper Voice
    - Psyshock
    - Focus Blast
    - Taunt

    Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Intimidate
    EVs: 252 HP / 240 Def / 8 SpD / 8 Spe
    Impish Nature
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - U-turn
    - Stone Edge

I was using an offensive rocks Garchomp here but when I was battling on Showdown all it seemed to really be doing was adding another Fairy and Dragon weakness. Doesn't help that people seem to get that when you switch Chomp into Scizor/Ferro that you're gonna try to Fire Blast it. So anyway I went and put Lando-T in to keep something with rocks and an Electric immunity while also getting a few things like a bird check, a Ground immunity, a slow U-turn, etc.

    Keldeo-Resolute @ Choice Specs
    Ability: Justified
    EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Secret Sword
    - Hydro Pump
    - Hidden Power [Bug]
    - Scald

Was actually using Rotom-Wash at first but went back to Keldeo because I didn't exactly like the lack of firepower on Rotom.

    Scizor @ Leftovers
    Ability: Technician
    EVs: 248 HP / 84 Atk / 176 SpD
    Impish Nature
    - Bullet Punch
    - Defog
    - Roost
    - Knock Off

And so with the team being the way it is and entry hazards being something you just don't want on your side of the field in general, I put in Scizor to be the team's defogger. Excadrill and Starmie are frail and compound some weaknesses so I didn't think that they'd be good choices. The EV spread is basically the bulky SD set's EVs because the thing I never liked about the Defog Scizor set is that it kinda has little offensive presence and is physically defensive but I kinda needed something with special bulk since Fairies tend to be more specially inclined. Not like this is a whole lot better....though at least there's Bullet Punch and Knock Off.

    Thundurus (M) @ Leftovers
    Ability: Prankster
    EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
    Timid Nature
    - Thunderbolt
    - Thunder Wave
    - Hidden Power [Ice]
    - Focus Blast

And then threw Thundurus onto the last slot since Prankster Thunder Wave is so useful. Cube and Gardevoir like that a lot since their Speed's not so good anymore.

Maybe it's just me, but when I was battling on Showdown it seems to still not be that good. Mega Lopunny is a problem, Mega Swampert in the rain shreds the team, Serperior is an issue, stuff that gets the chance to set up is a problem. There's probably some other **** I forgot or never thought of. One other issue is that there's not really any sort of overall strategy to the team; it's like, yeah, the individual sets are ok and they sorta-kinda do things for each other, but do they really function together as a solid team? It's kinda a problem with all my teams really, I never really go into battle with any sort of general plan.

    Oh, and here's a replay: http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/ou-230582766

And honestly, part of me doesn't exactly like asking for advice. I feel like like at this point I'm just kinda nagging the people of BTB and nothing really comes of it. It's like....I'm wasting the advice people give me or something. I've probably made far more team help threads in the past year and a half than anyone has ever made. I've asked plenty of questions, looked at various resources and stuff, and despite everything, it's like I still don't get it. After doing this for 4 years now, there's still something(s) that I'm not understanding, and I'm still just an average-at-best battler. *sigh*

*ahem* Anyway, you don't need to think about this today or anything, I know I kinda went and dropped a lot there.....

Yeah, this is it for me. Five years ago today, I joined PC. Now my time here is coming to a close a half a decade later.

I won't go too in-depth here besides to say that my battling skills (and interest, to some degree) have eroded to the point where they couldn't be salvaged without time and effort that I can no longer muster. Furthermore, it just hasn't been all that fun for several years now for a ton of different reasons I do not wish wish to list, and having fun is the point...

This blog won't be very long. I obviously haven't posted many of these. Yeah, school can be a pain when you have a lot of homework and not a lot of energy.

Anyway, I originally thought that the second iteration of Stage 3 (to use Smogon's wording) would just be Manaphy and the already-OU Latias...and that's how it was going to be. But now Garchomp is being added into the test according to Jumpman, I would assume due to the close 44-41 vote in favor of it being Uber.

I figured I'd have some fun and predict the Stage 3 voting results. You can post some too if you'd like. I'll probably be wrong on about all of these, but I thought I'd have some fun so why not?

Shaymin-S - Uber

I think this will be voted Uber, actually. I think people are afraid of hax and afraid of Skymin's power and Speed. I actually don't blame them--it's a pretty effective Pokemon. I just wish...

They have finally been released, and you can find them here. I'm glad they're out, especially since I contributed to them this time around :3

The biggest "shocker" to me was Blissey at number 14 (if you include the Rotom formes, which I will do for this whole entry). How the mighty have fallen. Blissey is probably the best defensive Pokémon in the game, and it's not even close to the top ten. As a user of Blissey, my guess is that Blissey being vulnerable to Trick as well...

I know, long time, no see, right? People often complain about how S&M is dead, and while there isn't much we can do about that (after all, we cannot control who decides to frequent in the section), I figured that I might as well start using this again to maybe, possibly start some discussion. Honestly, I am still a bit puzzled by the failure of the Metagame Discussion Thread, and the best conclusion I can come to is that it failed because it was too bland or boring in some way. Hopefully I can...
