OMG, I spent too much time on Furaffinity just now that I got logged out and didn't notice your message until now.

Yeah, I'm sure that wasn't a good idea. To be honest, very few horror flicks actually scare me. I mean, they'll shock me at times, but not really scare me.

I'm sure you've heard of Scream? How about Saw? Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Doom? Dawn of the Dead? Amityville Horror? To be honest, there aren't many that aren't badly staged. In fact, I think the only ones that I actually got scared by were ones that doubled as action/sci-fi movies like Resident Evil.

From my experience, a lot of horror movies are notoriously faked. They don't usually put up as much a shock value like they used to. It's all staged and badly.

Hehehe, I looked up Markiplier's play-throughs with my phone last night, and they were a lot more hilarious than raedwulfgamer's. I just went to raedwulfgamer's first because that's what popped up first on my initial search. For some reason, just the fact that the players scream their butts off makes me laugh at the game more than scream at it. Actually, that's how I feel about most horror flicks too (they're more comedic than scary).

Yeah, spook houses can be fun, but I generally avoid them nowadays. I think I've spent WAY too much time on Furaffinity lately, though, if I'm finding out about stuff like that. Heh, but then, I had been trying to increase my involvement there somewhat... Sadly, it seems you can't get anyone to do art for you if you don't pony up for a trade or flush out some serious cash. I wouldn't have a problem with either except my art skills are terrible and I don't have a means to pay... >.> I have looked into requests, but so far nobody seems to be offering/taking them...

Oh, yes! In the Wisconsin Dells, there are several big spook houses. I went to this one at a small park as a kid that really had me scared, but I hear that one really terrifying spook house was Tommy Bartlett's Exploratorium. It's supposed to be an educational science experience, but also adds a lot of creepy animatronics along with a typical "mad science" setting to make it into a truly terrifying exhibition. I haven't been to it myself, but my relatives tell me it was spooky. Also, there's another local one called "Nightmare" that pops up once a year around Halloween. It's supposed to promote drug abuse awareness, while also giving people a real fright. I went to it once and scared half to death.

When I say funny, I mean the bad graphics and badly faked security cam footage was what made me laugh. Otherwise, the jump scares and psychological terror was really terrifying. I mean, you read the prologue to Biohazard, right (or was that before I changed it to Doxisite's perspective rather than Alakazam's)? I use a lot of psychological mechanisms in the current draft, and later on in Chapter Seven when Doxisite attacks Pokémon Square.

Well, I watched the first three nights on one guy's Youtube and it really didn't seem as much scary as it is weird. But then, I was watching via phone and, though the screen has good resolution, it's still small. I thought it was more weird than scary, at least up to night 4 (wherein the animatronics were getting faster in their pursuit) and, at one point where the player was switching from the security cams to regular view, the main antagonist Freddy appeared right in front of his face and killed him. Up to that point, I thought it was funny.

Busy. I've been working on some major jobs this week, so I'm pretty exhausted. Also, I kind of scared the living crap out of myself by watching footage from a horror game that I recently heard about (apparently it's all the rage on Furaffinity, so out of curiosity, I watched a few short clips and almost peed my pants)! It's called Five Nights at Freddy's. Whatever you do, don't look it up on Youtube! You'll regret it!

The 3DS is basically solid, but the seam is across the hinge part for the upper screen. However, it seems pretty tight together and I extremely doubt it would break apart like the DS Lites I've had.

I have not had that happen, ever. Nintendo's systems have always been made to take a lot of abuse, and I mean A LOT! The only problem I ever had with any DS system was the DS Lite's right hinge breaking on me. My first DS Lite did it, so did my second one, and my third one was about to. However, a little super glue fixed it on all of them. I have not had happen to my 3DS, and I don't expect it to. The DS Lite and DSi were made from really weak plastic, as opposed to a thicker plastic used to case their other systems. Also, the 3DS is have doesn't have the pointless slit on the hinge that my DS Lite had. I know that was part of what compromised the structural integrity of the DS Lite. I'm not sure if that's where the seam was, or it was just bad designing of the casing/mold... >.>

You've seen my hand drawings, right? My hands are honed to press hard into things so I can cut them with my carpet knife. In the same way, I have heavy strokes with my pens and pencils, as well as the DS stylus. Well, I lighten my press when using the stylus, but I've developed some bad habits that I use all the time. Really, I've never been too concerned about scuffing up the touch screen because, despite what the manuals warn about, the touch screen is still going to work no matter what. It's just unavoidable because touching a touch screen repeatedly is going to scratch it eventually.

"Broken" usually means there's some sort of gameplay flaw that makes it too easy or too hard for the player to progress in the game (at least the times I've heard it used). Perhaps I'm mistaken in my term use. But, I do recall that Phantom Hourglass was hard to play at times because of the issue that bosses moved too quick and didn't give you that small opportunity to attack like the majority of Zelda games do. I guess, to an extent, one could argue it's a good thing because it puts forth a challenge, but to me, it seemed like it made the game too hard to keep up with at certain points. I remember one boss required you to watch the top screen to see where it was attacking from. It /was/ innovative, but at the same time, it was an unnecessary distraction when the thing was moving around the room really fast and then suddenly honed in on you. Also, I kind of didn't like having to swipe the screen hard just to swing the sword. I mean, Pokémon Ranger was easily the best game to destroy your DS touch screen with, but this one was almost as good for that because you had to swipe hard or would just walk into an enemy when you wanted him to attack. No other Zelda games (except Spirit Tracks)) have that problem, and that's a pretty big one in terms of gameplay.

Oh, don't get me wrong: Phantom Hourglass was okay, but it was horribly broken compared to other Zelda games. Spirit Tracks had more story to it, and it was a little less broken because the enemies actually gave you a chance to hit them before attacking. That's one of the few things I actually HATED about PH. Most bosses were way too fast.
