Actually, I don't have nearly as many glue-downs as I used. It's mostly a summertime thing, when people want their porches or steps re-carpeted. Indoor glue-downs are usually reserved for rental properties. Otherwise, we generally do full installations with carpet, padding, and tack-strip. I can actually heft a full roll of pad on my own, and anything up to a 12' X 20' roll of carpet. I'm really strong irl, and it's not understatement to say that I throw around my own weight and then some! XD

In all seriousness, though, I basically drag my dad into the job whenever he's helping me bring in a roll of carpet. I scare the living crap out of customers because they don't expect me to suddenly heft a heavy roll of carpet on my own, much less drag around the guy who's helping me. I mean, irl, I'm fat and I don't look like I'd be able to lug around heavy objects the way I do, but I do it anyways with little to no effort.

Hehehe, that sounds about right. The adhesive we use for glue-down jobs is full of chemicals that give it an extremely pungent odor. However, you have no idea how bad it used to smell. The gasoline-like odor comes from all the chemicals they put into the glue; however, there was a time when carpet glue was ALL petroleum-based. It actually smelled worse up to the early 2000s, and you could easily got a type of high or buzz from it if you inhaled it too long. About that time, petroleum prices started to rise significantly, so they changed the formula to a water-based compound. It isn't nearly as pungent, but still sticks...well, sort of... Actually, the glue we use nowadays isn't really as sticky as it used to be. We have to wait a few minutes for it cure before we actually lay the carpet out onto it (it doesn't take long, but it's a little bit of a time waster because we have to push the carpet into the glue to make sure it stays). It's not as bad as putting down VCT tile, though. We could be waiting hours for the glue to set before we can even start laying them down, and it's always one at a time.

Heh, EO's difficulty is pretty intense. Well, it's not as bad as I originally thought it was, but I found that the game does tend to stay consistent, even as you keep progressing through it. I've even found that level grinding doesn't really help much because monsters are still tough at every stage of the game.

Fine, I guess. I was working a lot until last week. Things then seemed to drop off again.

Oh, I finally beat Etrian Odyssey Untold! I was shocked by how easy the final boss was compared to the rest of the game. It wasn't disappointing in the least, though, since the rest of the game was still hard.

Heh, that's why I switched things up a bit. Aegislash's defenses are some of the highest in the game. I actually beefed mine up to 399 each. I probably could've gotten either higher, but I wanted to make sure I had some sort of attack power still, hence why I opted for Brave nature after getting another Honedge with it and the missing Defense IV I needed for breeding. I was surprised to actually get a 5 IV spread like I did, since neither parent had a Sp. Attack IV. Speed has never been an issue for Aegislash, so Brave nature worked perfectly. (My first Aegislash, Excelsior, actually had Jolly nature, but it kept getting KO'd, so I had to retire it early on.)

Luna Fang has 5 IVs (HP, Attack, Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense), where Bessel had only 4 (HP, Attack, Sp. Defense, and Speed). Additionally, Luna Fang has Brave nature instead of how Bessel had Quiet (I got Bessel in trade, and it seemed to have good stats so I used it as is).

Chaste has 4 IVs like his father (that Japanese one), but the spread is better defense-wise (HP, Defense, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense as opposed to HP, Attack, Sp. Attack, and Sp. Defense). Additionally, I bred for Bold nature with Chaste instead of retaining his father's Quiet Nature. It was a good tradeoff, especially since the Defense stat is now maxed out completely and Chaste's third highest stat after Sp. Defense (which is slightly higher) and HP (which is naturally high on Lapras).

Both Luna Fang and Chaste have their Defense/Sp. Defense stats maxed out to ensure some survivability during battles. It drives people nuts when they attack thinking they're going to get a OHKO, and suddenly DON'T! I love it even more when I have time for stat building on Luna Fang or recovery time on Chaste thanks to Confuse Ray.

Eh, okay... I thought Chaste recovered enough to endure another attack, and was hoping Jammer would hurt itself while I used Toxic. You honestly have no idea how much longer I was ready for the battle to go, and I wasn't even using my flat battle Pokémon again. But, I think you got the gist of why I say Luna Fang and Chaste are so annoying. Luna Fang can take at least one or two hits and block attacks with King's Shield (if I did that on the first turn, you wouldn't have been so tempted to switch to Jammer). Chaste endures almost any attack without dying, then I sudden hit enemies with Confuse Ray, and after that he starts recovering with Leftovers. I've thought about switching out Surf for Rest, so I have a full recovery move, while Confuse Ray and Toxic do their work.

Yeah, but I had several tricks up my sleeve to turn the tide. I'll show you how annoying Luna Fang is compared to Bessel if you want?

I've had plenty of rage quits with Chaste. Trust me, that wasn't a rage quit. I think the Japanese player just realized it was an endgame and bowed out.

Eh, PrettySylveon's going to be a little while, so we'll try a battle with some passersby.

Ok, I'll be on shortly. I was hoping Fairy (one of the mods) would get on around now, but I have no idea if she'll have time for this. I know PrettySylveon's ready to go anytime. Maybe we'll luck out and I can get a passerby to join in.

If you get on in the next half hour or so, let me know if you can do a multi battle tonight?

I never had a chance to use it. That's why. Well, it's just a reserve move anyways. The Pokémon had it when I got it off the GTS. I also got a female Magician Fennekin with more IVs, but I raised this one because it had Wish.

My team has enough type coverage to usually survive entry hazards. I have tons of recovery options at my disposal (Delphox actually has Wish, which saves me a lot of the time). Also, Bessel and Noivern are awesome! I got them both in Wonder Trade and they work so great in succession. I actually just bred Bessel and got a female Honedge (now Aegislash) with 5 Perfect IVs.

Well, I was planning on writing a spinoff chronicling the conflict between Saul and Salazar, but I'm not sure how far I could go with.

In any case, sorry for the missed battles. We'll have to try another time.
