You're pretty interesting and likeable yourself xD

Very little to be honest since it's not even 7:00am yet. I've got a very busy day of doing nothing ahead of me though which I'm looking forward to after how hectic the rest of the week has been. Yourself?

Yep; I'm a big fan of Rekordelig! I'll keep my eyes peeled for Aspall's in the future though! (Can't stand Magners!)

Unfortunately I'm in a similar boat... so with the rise of all these fancy games and MMOs I feel like an old fogey! That nutritional info sounds... damning, really. Kinda glad it's not one of our main takeaway places!

My Skype is bonkenhig; more than happy to talk there! I'll be cramming for a lot of this weekend but I should make appearances there now and then after that! I miss my university days where I practically lived on Skype, heh.

Our government loves to pry on our private conversations but doesn't particularly care so much about our actual welfare in terms of our accommodation being mouldy etc!

I guess I'm glad I haven't ate there yet. It sounds gross. Tho Wetherspoons is mostly oven churned rubbish as well imo. I try to eat PROPERLY lately. I've become something of a mild health freak? Better now than before it's too late.

I guess I need to open a supermarket in Canada and get some real business going there... Stella... ehhh. Not a big fan. I was out tonight and had a ton of ye olde Strawberry and Lime Koppaberg tho. I wonder what other Swedish drinks are like... I'd be tempted to go there just to have a bit of a dabble into their alcohol tbh.

And that's fair enough! I'll definitely keep an eye out for the games you work on if you let me know about them. NOT THAT ONE SALE IS GONNA CHANGE THE WORLD but still. Is there anything that would run smoothly on a bad laptop, by any chance...?
  9. Luck Hax

...apparently not! My house is thankfully okay on that front right now, and when I move to rent somewhere, they're gonna have to be mould-free for the sake of getting a lot of rent out of me!

Don't get me started on the Cornish language, that's just something on its own front!
...I see. I've heard of like one Taco Bell in Manchester over here and I've never been there. I just imagine it's cheese on a white wrap with a load of sauce/some beef?
And doesn't just getting rid of the stuff wasteful? Waste doesn't sound smart to me, even if you make more profit on the stock you don't waste!
Pints range from ~£2 for the standard Carlsberg etc. in a local pub to maybe £4 for a Koppaberg in the city. (Unfortunately my taste buds are suckers for fruity cider...)

What about the OLD projects? How many hours would you say you've put into each one? Also... how do the profits from things like Steam work? When they do their Steam sales, do you get only a little less profit or do you get a pittance? I'm considering trying that game when I get a decent laptop!

Tottenham being Totnum seems a bit weirder than Darrrrby! There are some odd curveballs in our wonderful British culture. Tho if you think the names in England are bad, that's like easy mode. Scotland is your standard difficulty, and Wales is where things get hardcore.

I guess we don't really take as good care of our homes because there's not a PRESSING need for good insulation etc. Are they cheaper/better in Canada, then?
You're not keen on any of our shops then!? No upsides? You're really selling Canada comparatively! How is your Subway better, exactly?

...and that sounds like a brilliant job. Can see why you're rooted here! What games have you worked on? Are you allowed to say anything about current projects or are they TOP SECRET CLASSIFIED?

he said he was interning somewhere, so I assume he finished school, he had a girlfriend and said he played Xbox with a few people from here, so I had him pass along a 'hello'.

I heard it was! And I can only imagine! But a sound investment none the less! Do it!

Time sure does fly, I haven't spoken to anyone in years, at least 2. I miss the old gang. The last person I spoke to was Alex, then indirectly Andy and David. And dude, he's such a little troll, he spends most of his time locking himself in rooms then crying about it.

Ugh.... Postpone it for as long as you can. I dunno about the UK, but here? It's such a pain. It's just tedious mostly. Ugly places that are over priced. At least renting someone comes and fixes our stuff when we're stupid or it brakes. Also, he'll be two in September.

I'll have to test you at some point. He's a fly guy. I think his way of saying it is very unique... if you said it that way even once over here you'd definitely make people laugh! It's lovely tho.

What field are you an EXPERT In then? Time for a spot of interrogation:

-Weather: I guess it's less snowy tho when it does snow here we probably freak out way more!
-Housing: no idea that could be interesting. Maybe it might be cheapish to live up in the northern areas of Canada due to the inconvenience of living there?
-Shop differences in general would be interesting! I'd say one huge difference when I went to Belgium 3 years back was that there were barely any McDonalds but loads of Pharmacies... what's the major differences over there?
-Was it the job alone that lured you here?

if I happen to be ko'd as of now it's because I'm somewhat poorly! I will keep up the conversation when I'm next on tho! night! (maybe)

Heh, I have an American friend who says Glasgow in a really funny way. (Maccrash/Matt) Can't help but smile and hear it in his voice now whenever I think about it. Not quite mardy enough to qualify as a Scotsman, though I do have a Scottish colleague at work who is probably the best banter in the office and I guess I've picked up some of his tricks over the year.

Wait so hang on you moved from Canada to the UK? Christ I'd have done the opposite if I could have! Or do you simply have a lot of Canadian relatives? What are your thoughts on Canada/the UK comparatively? (you must get this a lot...)

So, I sorta missed out on the deadline with the whole.. successes and failures blog competition thing, but I wanted to post something anyway since it's a subject that spoke out to me recently.

Sometimes, success can be a real matter of perspective, and sometimes, it's not always visible. We, as onlookers can point to others and assume that "this person is succeeding" and "this person hasn't really gotten that far" when we really don't know their whole story. We...

I know I haven't been the most active person these past couple of months, but hopefully I'll start getting back into the swing of things now that I've started to find a bit of balance in my day to day!
I see loads of new faces, though I'm unsure how many are name-changes and how many are newbies, so you might have to help me out here!

Anyway, hmm in case you're wondering what I've been up to:

In ways, I feel quite a lot older this time of year- and thinking back, I realize how living on my own has changed me a lot, and even when I think I am mature, I look back again and see how much I mature further.

That being said, I realize that this Christmas, what I really want is the comforting feeling of friends and family around- and just being happy to be there in their presence. Now, this Christmas, I am away from my parents and brother and other family (it's too expensive to...
