Was my hack rejected? It's been a couple days so I figured I would check. If it was, would you mind PMing as to why? Thank you!

Is there some sort of map change up at Apex Temple in Gaia? During my first trip up I got an itemfinder ping behind some rock-smash rocks right before the temple (and made a note to get them later), but now that I actually have rock smash.... there's no more ping, and nothing there. (Had to double-check with an old save just to make sure I wasn't misremembering!)

Yow! When does the player obtains his/her first Mega Evolution in XY and ORAS? Sorry that I haven't played those yet. Can you also state how much badges the player gain before or on the event which you obtain ME? I'm just storyboarding in my hack.

Gaia: Didn't see this mentioned anywhere in the thread (which was surprising), but (for me at least) the inverted battles with Oppos didn't give out any exp - or rather, they did /during battle/, but the gained exp didn't stick around after battle (indeed, I even had a couple of pokemon level up during battle, only to see them revert to their previous levels afterwards - which was how I noticed, and decided to investigate).

(I actually missed the first battle with him, since lv14 seemed a bit high for my party at the time and so I decided to come back to him after beating Aria. Imagine my surprise when he threw out a lv21! Having the challenge progress with the number of badges is a good idea, but it might be better to do something like the Trick House from RSE, wherein challenges stack up. Anyway, I found an older save and confirmed that the EXP bug happened after the first battle as well.)

(Ok; I had searched the thread and didn't get any hits, so figured I'd note it.)

Do you know about the weirdness in Frostbite Tunnel in the icy-floor room, on the square you end up on right before the lady-in-red scene there? It seems that under certain circumstances (I have a save where I can repeat it, but can also disallow it from occurring by frex sliding back south & then north again), clicking that space makes a hidden-item noise, and doing so rapidly/repeatedly causes a 'found a master ball' text box to appear (and linger, though you can still move). Continuing to click causes 'found a great ball' texts (that also linger). No items are actually added, as far as I can tell. In a few instances (I think I moved around some first), there was a repeating movement-stopping 'qAF qAF qAF ...' text box. Other times, clicking made a walking-through-door sound and went to a black screen.

That square is bad juju, I tell you.

I can send a savefile/screenshots if necessary to showcase. My gut suspicion is that it's due to some leftover from the cutscene that plays (and that refreshing the square or whatever prevents the weirdness), but I'm no scripter, so I don't really know.

Gaia bug note: The current in-hack description for Drain Kiss says that the move absorbs half the damage inflicted; I'm not really sure how much the move is restoring in-hack, but the intended functionality of Draining Kiss is 75% (annoyingly, even the vanilla games' description for the move only says "by over half", which can contribute confusion). So maybe the move is off, but maybe only the description is.

This might sound like a weird question, but did the Map Rating/Review thread get deleted? I couldn't find it in its normal place (in the Rom hacking hub section) and the only way I could find it was reviewing my posting history. I could have overlooked it, but it even used to be stickied at the top. I really hope it's not gone forever D:

Gaia bug note: In Gaia, Chingling (at least the one used by Psychic Thomas in Emerald Caverns) appears to be normal-type instead of the usual psychic-type [was weak to fighting, and neutral to bug, dark, rock, grass, electric, fairy, & normal]. Making it normal-type isn't at all unreasonable IMO (similar to Azurill), but it's probably an unintentional difference.

You should add a list of hacks to the thread that already won "Hack of the Month" and are ineligible. I'm pretty sure most of the people won't remember them :c
