Hello there! So Cobalt will almost be finish, right?

Definitely! Since I've rendered my ROM incompatible with most tools, I'd rather hex-edit my way through rather than rely on INI tweaks, etc. Very helpful .

Your offset calculator, for the pokemon information string offsets, is proving very useful. Kudos!

Hey, I was wondering if you'd be willing to give me the source for your Poké Ball swapping routine (I saw in Cobalt). Could you do that (you'd be credited ofc)?

It was a mislabel, the code itself looked way too intentional to be a bug (ie they deliberately loaded a value from the NPC to use in the function).

Oh, that's easy. Just replace the two bytes at 08062986, 080629D6, 08062A8E, 08062B46, 08062BFE, 08062CAE, 08062CFE, and 08062DB6 with 02 21 (mov r1, #0x2). If you want an explanation, there's basically a giant switch which controls what the copying NPC does (walking at normal, running, and bike speeds; jumping ledges; looking). In all of these functions the "execute movement" function take an argument for relative direction. So basically instead of loading this argument from the NPC it's forced to 0x2 which makes it function properly.

ss and the first two paper mario are some of the greatest games ever made. ttyd is definitely a contender for the title of my favourite game of all time.

thnx bby i can always count on u. its still just an idea but i think it could be pulled off. i would need to make a few more minigames before posting it because that's how i roll.

kind of, obviously its all in 2d but its acts like its in 3d. you can only see 3 faces at time but i've managed to create a system where you can rotate around the cube and flip it upside down so you can get different camera angles on it. it can remember what is on every face, where those faces are and translate that into how the three visible faces are displayed. have a screenshot (ignore the player pls)

i've actually been thinking about making a hack which is nothing but crazy minigames like this/ my blackjack script. what do you think about that idea?

    stay strong brother.

i'm making a rubik's cube because its a pretty good challenge. i finished the (placeholder) graphics yesterday and i'm getting started with the scripting now. no major problems so far which is great.

the last time i saw you wwii was still going strong. how did you fare after singapore fell?

nooooooooooooooo don't make me spend 100 hours on the again ;-;. i've been keeping myself busy with a pretty neat scripting side-project. 600 lines so far and nowhere near finished
