Hey icomeanon6, are you a Digimon fan? Aside from writing a Digimon fic?

I found that someone else is also doing a rewrite of 02. I haven't read it yet, so I don't know how good it is. But so far, that's the first I found.

Yeah, you're just not icomeanon6 without the G/S/C avatar. Like, if you change your avatar, I'm sure some part of the world would explode. It's just a law of the universe.

And, well, Bean really isn't icon-able. Plus my comics are buried on a book shelf, except for the one I just got.

That's actually something that I've questioned when writing. Both the attacks and the "Xmon evolves to...Ymon!" shouting are something that I played around with. I always found it odd to yell out the attack before using it (since the Digimon can fight on their own), since that does give the enemy some time to defend. On the other hand, it's pretty much canon for them to do that. They do in all the seasons of the anime the majority of the time if I recall correctly, and also in at least Digimon World 2. So it would be weird to not have it in...

Really, I've just seen the writers I follow use the attack cries pretty much all the time. I guess it just wouldn't be Digimon without it. You can try to write a scene without it and see how it works out for you (and I'll even look it over and see how it works, because I fail miserably at writing Digimon battles).

I can't picture Angemon doing his thing without shouting "Hand of Fate!"
That broke my mind when I watched the Japanese version. I was so used to "Hand of Fate!" that when he said "Heaven's Knuckle!" in a higher-pitched just broke my mind. I think the dub is forever implanted in my head.

And now it occurs to me that I should probably work on my social anxiety problems.

That thread... It's just a whole mess now. The author with his "my story is just too deep to be understood!", people claiming that Pokemon should never be written about in a mature manner, and just language being thrown around there in so many ways. Sure, the author isn't looking good, but where did these "reviewers" come from?

And no worries about your own review count. Aside from your story, I haven't reviewed in a long while. I wasn't pinning any of the blame on you.

...I need to send you a picture of Bean. It would just make more sense, Magic Legume.

Y'know, I totally didn't mean to explode in a ranting mess in my last VM to you. I was just frustrated with the way things were going, and it was kind of related to F&W. So it just bubbled out into a few paragraphs of Astinus-rage.

    So apologies for that.

For a while, the way that non-constructive reviewers were dealt with was by having the more experienced members review, so that the newer members could see how things work around F&W. Unfortunately, people drop off the face of the planet/have uni and work/don't seem to care, so that kind of ended. There was also some problem with how it would be determined what was a helpful review or not.

I'm thinking that things should just go back to the way it was before where I hand out warnings/infractions for non-constructive posts. It works for the Art forums (which is where I got the idea), so it should work for us in F&W.

And now I can't unsee Pikachu as Winnie-the-Pooh.

Say (and imagine that drawn out to be just annoying enough without eye-twitching) if you need help with the Digimon aspect of your fic, don't hesitate to ask. I've been reading Digimon fics for years, so I have some knowledge there.

I've been wanting to say this for a while now, I just never got around to doing it as of yet, but I read your SWC fic "There's Always Tomorrow" after going through the Fanfiction Index. It was beautiful, touching, and it flowed amazingly well. The fic was a rare example of the oneshots which have well developed characters (and how.) as opposed to most oneshots which are usually plot driven. Therefore, kudos to you.

    That is all.

I swear I am going to read your Digimon fic. It's open in a tab right now. Just that work has been a pain recently, but I have a lot of days off, so...soon. Before the first week of August, certainly.

A friend and I are working on a Digimon fic, inspired of course by yours. I'll be honest. Can you give me some tips on how to write a Digimon fic? Because this is my first time doing one.

I'm just wondering when Chapter 2 will arrive. I very much liked Chapter 1.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the ones who read the plagiarised work loved it too. You are right about the whole credit issue though. Reading through his, so called, replies to his feedback, I noticed that he really didn't say much. I wonder what one has to gain from doing such a thing. Surely it can't be the satisfaction of providing entertainment.

Ugh, disgusting. I read the thread and that guy has the nerve to receive thanks and explain plot elements, albeit rather vaguely.

Allow me to quote Tennessee Williams while changing one word to convey how I feel about the matter.

You must be pretty pissed, I know I would be, and you have every right to be. Though, it's sad that the plagiarist hasn't been on since June, and even if retribution were to be carried out by him being banned, he wouldn't realise it. I like the notion of him trying to log in to find out that he'd been banned.

Take solace, however, in the fact that someone would actually plagiarize your fic. It shows how good, or hilarious the story was.

I only skimmed it, so I didn't get their names. I'll have to print it out, since I forgot to bring my USB with me.
