This would be my prime example
It's just that you dont want the player to have to squeeze through little gaps or bumping into things all over a map. It feels messy to the player. Maps need to be spacious yet composed and not empty. That was what urked me most there tbh.
Yeah, I like your tile work and your art in general. I'm not very well known in the Game Dev community though I know a lot of the developers around. Your maps are also pretty decent too, though you have the little Game Developer curse on the one I seen in the map-off which is not focusing on playability sometimes XD
