Haha, it wasn't exactly a serious apology - I made that statement knowing full well how you'd react to it lmao :p I'm the same, you know ;)

He isn't what I'd call "edgy". And it doesn't just have my seal of approval - a lot of anime do, tbh. This one is a "Classified Must Watch" for anime fans who are remotely interested in good SoL/Drama. Hell, I'd go as far as to say that you should watch this anyway - even if you're not big on those genre.

I can't stress enough how good this anime is, man. Just can't. Can just hope you give it a shot soon so I can hear your thoughts on it. You already know I love reading your opinion on things - this being no exception. Except I'd love to read your thoughts on this more than probably any other series out there since it is so different from other series haha. XD

Just gonna drop this here. Hopefully this video will convince you to give it a shot soon.

hey machomuu, well yeah Warriors series fanatic here. Dynasty Warriors was and is pretty much the series that I've invested a lot despite how wonderfully repetitive the series is. Samurai Warriors isn't too bad as well, with SW1 being my personal favorite for having a darker tone and the focus on the Nobunaga storyline, though SW1's Honnouji missions were some of the most hated missions I've played in any Warriors game.

Too bad it's 1/3 of Hollow Fragment, would have loved more of Silica-tan.

Oh, and Oregairu is a short form. Like Danmachi, y'know. Its full name is this:
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.
Or My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU in english.

I love it so much I'm willing to actually buy the goddamn series (a first for me) from amazon.com. But then, it is region locked. I won't be able to play it in India. :/ Oh, well, it is still incredibly cheap ($30 last I looked for first season I guess) and I always have my trusty VLC to play it I guess).

haha, I mean, I'm still voting for Shokugeki too so technically I'm still not a traitor, yes? :p

It is a regular romantic comedy set in high school with generic characters.
    Nah, I'm kidding.

It calls itself a "romantic comedy" but that couldn't be farther from the truth. The first season, at least. It is a comedy but it revolves around our MC who has this very, very negative view of everything around him and has been a loner for a good part of his life. And two other characters. One female character that's similar to the MC since she's got her own share of different problems and another that's there to serve as the "normal" girl. It is a very fun and interesting watch and the first season deals almost exclusively with our main characters helping other people out (Yorozuya, yo). Except that the way of dealing with things differ a lot - our MC being the twisted guy he is, comes up with solutions that work very efficiently but aren't exactly solutions that you'd consider "ideal" since people do get hurt in the process more often than not. And his internal monologues are a treat - they're very realistic and practical. Not the naive anime ******** most MCs spout.

And Season two. Oh boy. It kicks things into another gear. While season 1 was lovable comedy, season 2 kicks the animation quality up a notch and the story takes a dramatic route. While there are definitely those out there who would've preferred the story to remain on the "dark, monologue-filled twisted comedy", I definitely do prefer what they actually ended up doing in the second season - it almost entirely deals with the internal issues our characters have been facing for so long. Except that now they're finally gearing up to face their issues and not run from them. If season one was a "good anime", season two makes it either a "dramatic failure" or a "****ing masterpiece" depending on your opinion of the shift to "drama". I, for one, am definitely in the "****ing masterpiece" category. Definitely.

I mean, it still has comedy. It still has our MC talking in all those amazing monologues. But it just feels like a natural progression and a really, really good one at that.

Trust me, it probably doesn't sound appealing at all - high school romcom setting and whatnot. I mean, that's a dime a dozen these days. But it does everything so right that it is almost surprising. I mean, look at my hummingbird page:
    https://hummingbird.me/users/Derozio

Oregairu season 2 is my #2 favorite anime of all time (uhh sorry Gintama will always be #1 hehe). And my top 10 isn't made up of slouches. It has series like GiTS, Nodame, Monogatari Season Second, NANA, FMAB, Kaiji, Hajime no Ippo and all that good stuff. But this is just...I don't know man, I love this series SO much it isn't even funny.

We totally have to at some point in time though. Like, have to. It'd terrible if we didn't.

If not for the fact that I'm letting people vote for more than one anime, I would've given Shokugeki a miss tbh. Oregairu S2 is THE top show for me this year. :p But yeah, I'm voting for Shokugeki too ofc so there's that haha

    But no Plue

Spin-offs, huh... Hard to say. I liked Noire one the most, but spin-offs are pretty meh and quite repetitive. PP and U are pretty much epitomes of it.

    Quick Self-Introduction

    Biography
Biography, huh? I had something here before, but I scrapped it. And you know, let's forget about that. What's past is past, and who I am now...well, I hope you'll get to know that personally. I don't feel that I can accurately give you a sample of me in a few words and expect you to know me any better. Nah, that's for job interviews and business meetings. For me, anyways. I change fairly often and am not exactly consistent enough to put something here that I would be satisfied with.

Nah, instead let's talk about the future, yeah? I meet and talk to a lot of people who see themselves as hopeless or try to see forward a year or two and see darkness rather than light, and things like this absolutely boggle my mind. After all, what is the future but a playground for possibility?

I suppose that view sounds fairly optimistic, but I wouldn't say it actually is. In fact, I dare say that the beauty of possibility is that it encompasses the best case, the worst case, and every shade in between. An infinite number of shades for an infinite number of possibilities. And what is the future if not the literal culmination of innumerable possibilities? Honestly, I think the thought's pretty exciting! Even taking into account the amount of crap that may include.

With that in mind, let's talk about dreams. Dreams are goals. Dreams are hopes. But most importantly, dreams aren't dreams unless you let them be. Cheesy as that may sound. You, whoever you are, are capable of far more than you think you are. If there's a specific future you seek, it's possible to obtain. Unlike most things, it really is that simple. And this goes the other way, too. Feeling bad for yourself and looking at a grim future will generally create a rather unfortunate self-fulfilling prophecy. So if that's not what you want, don't.

Personally, I love the future for all of its wonderful colors and shades, that it brings excitements and anticipation just as it brings fear and despair. And its vastness is awe-inspiring. Absolutely awe-inspiring.

Anyway. Why am I going on about this? I dunno, this space was empty and at the time of writing, my VMs are disabled. But I suppose I'll just cap this off by saying that if you ever feel like you're stuck between two choices, there most certainly is a third. And a fourth. And a fifth even. The future is as vast as you make it, and if we had a visible roadmap detailing the possible actions we could have taken at any given moment in our lives, I imagine everyone, dead or alive, would feel pretty silly.
