    Then you're a fool! New tiles are the best feature of a hack! (imo). And hacks that don't have new tiles from the original are just plain and mediocre and it makes the hacker look inexperienced and lazy. And if you aren't changing the tiles then at least change the palettes. The FR palettes are disgustingly bright...
    EDIT: Sorry to steal your argument Dante lol I was going to post something but I forgot what I was going to post after all that :/ I'm fighting the war against 'graphics don't matter, storyline has to be amazing even though it's a pokemon game' sort of people...

    I believe ROM Hacks with original tiles like Sienna, Azure Horizons, and rijon Adventures are better. You don't need new tiles to make a ROM Hack, in fact when I ROM Hack I won't change tiles at all. I will be hacking Fire Red version.

    Oh yes the colours are important too! It annoys me when people have the grass blue, grass is green!
    And yeah I think that when a hack has a really good scripts that improves it a lot.

    Hey I think you're correct on the HOTY 2010 thread. Newly inserted tiles take more effort and usually look better. Also I know that it is only my opinion but I think that graphics are the most important feature of a hack, followed by scripting. I mean really why would you go to a Pokemon game for a good storyline? Everyone always moans to me that my hacks don't have a good storyline but in my opinion Pokemon games aren't supposed to have a good storyline.

    Yeah, I guess you could say it was a joke of sorts. I was poking fun at the fact that it seems like every year, there is at least one person who is unsatisfied with the results of the HotY. And your post reminded me a lot of Sergio's post.

    Try playing Pokemon Prism by Koolboyman, Pokemon Sienna by Manipulation, Pokemon Rijon Adventures by Hiroshi Sotumara. I have played Pokemon Never before, and I liked it, but not for the graphics, for the scripts.

    Sienna is a bad hack? Prism is a bad hack? Rijon Adventures is a bad hack?
