I know right? I haven't heard that in a while, though. Probably cause I'm in Alabama and people are too busy complaining about other things, haha.

That's a scary dream. :( And yeah, I don't even like watching the news these days. All it is is "this child was kidnapped" or "this family was shot and killed in Birmingham" and I just can't handle it. I get very upset over these events and I just can't deal with a lot of them.

At least you're aware of that. I know so many people that go into majors that also have declining career rates and job openings and I can't help but wonder why. I understand passion for something, but in this economy, now's not the time to chase those kinds of jobs. I mean, I respect people that do, but I would never do it myself. Luckily my field needs more people in it, so finding a job when I graduate won't be too big of a task.

Okay good. And oh Lord, I hate the r-word. You can use whatever swear word around me, but if someone uses that word, they've gone too far. Especially when it's used to describe someone with a certain condition, especially autism. And I don't find autism horrid either.

Yeah, there's a lot that goes into my field. I have to learn pre-cal...which I still have trouble trying to understand why haha. I mean, are those 2nd graders really going to need me to be an expert at it? But the career will be worth the work in the end, so if it's something you'd really want to do and enjoy, you should definitely work for it. :) I think you'd be a fine teacher.

That's awful. :( I don't get how people can do that to one another. And that school sounds...like a hot mess. My boyfriend said he ended up teaching his math class in high school once actually, now that you mention that. It's a bit sad when the school's teachers don't know enough to do the job they're meant to do and a student ends up taking over.

It's understandable though! I've always thought you were good member regardless. :) But I don't really remember much of what I said in that thread, but I doubt any of it was bad...at least I hope not. I hope I didn't say anything in there that may have upset you! ;(

I just found the white Christian male segment off-putting considering you're literally the most privileged type of person in this country with no persecution at all lol.
