Well, we do some basic Newtonian stuff, SHM, and a little bit of electromagnetism. I think we do have a sine and cosine in a couple of formulae, but it's still really basic stuff. No calculus, though, or anything to do with vectors. Most of the stuff we do with heat is just qualitative, too. And then we have strange ones on Astronomy and Medical, which just seem to be time-fillers. It's disappointing, really.
Heh, I think I'm lucky over here. We only have to do what we want to study at uni, and anything else can just be ignored. You don't have to do any general classes, but there's no way of avoiding classes by doing exams now, which is different, I suppose. It's interesting how different the systems are.
If I'm honest, my Physics class is really straightforward. We don't do anything mathematical - the hardest we do is exponential decays - so it's just a load of learning stuff and not really doing any Physics. :/ It's a shame, really.
Oh, yeah, you guys have to start off doing all-round things, don't you. Ouch.
Oh, no APs or anything? I've heard of the senior privilege before, but I thought you still had to take your advanced classes?
And, well, maybe. I'm not quite sure how you'd test everyone on a level playing field otherwise, though. Without that, it'd be impossible for, say, employers to distinguish between candidates, right? It's not perfect, but I don't think there's anything better.
