I see your point but a tutorial of this stature shouldn't be necessary. If a person can't figure out such a simple thing as a recolor on their own then how are they ever going to sprite from scratch? (Also I made this a vm so the thread doesn't look bad.) New spriters should try experimenting on their own before they resort to tutorials so they can try to be independent. I personally think that if you want to make a tutorial that will help new spriters you should make one that deals with a more advanced technique or concept.

Plus, I need spriters in my timezone or things just won't work out. It's best this way. Anyway, thanks for what you've done so far and keep getting better at spriting, you're gonna be great.

But it seems like you're getting wrapped up in about 10 different projects... If you're too busy, that's fine. I need people who can stay devoted to one project because eventually I'll NEED these sprites. And you won't have them done with the workload you're carrying right now.

Oh, the irony of that statement. I had work, and when I got home I started working on the game . I'm mapping and I found an awesome thing I can do with tilesets to give it a unique art style. I started defining the storyline more specifically too. If you can sprite, we can keep moving ^-^

sure but it is likely to be delayed until Christmas because of HW and that my mapper and other spriter are still working on upgrading my terrible sprites

uh oh. You need more proportion, sorry. It's a good start, though. the source of light is a little thrown off, too. But it's still good. just not meeting our requirements. I'm sorry. You should make a thread here so that people can give you advice.
If you are using paint, I understand. I'm trying to make a sprite there right now (I usually use the GIMP) but it's pretty hard for some reason. XD

he's not on my IM right now, so i can't speak to him. Sorry.

Hey. If you got time in between the other projects you've apparently asked to join, theteam could definitely use an additional spriter. If you're still interested, just send some examples of your best work and let me know if you'd prefer to be and overworld characterter or tileset spriter.
