Well, no. I suppose not. You’ve got, what, sixteen some-odd badges on you? I guess if you put that kinda time into badge hunting, a cave like this should be no problem. You end up looking like you work at a TGI Fridays, but whatever. The name’s Red. You recognize me? It’s the hat, right? Yeah, that was me. I was a champ. I’m the guy that shut down Team Rocket a few years back. You’ve met Viridian’s current gym leader? An old punching bag of mine. That gym leader lifestyle didn’t suit me. I didn’t feel like waiting around for whatever upstart to come clamoring for a prize, so I went traveling. I’ve gone places and done things most bright-eyed youngsters like you only see in their Saturday cartoons.
