The pen may be mightier than the sword, but I'll take both just to be sure.

I love Eevee. And thank you for the Welcome.

No worries. You'll have noticed my delays as well, haha. I have had even more busy. Some of it has been pretty good sort of busy at least though!

It may be quite a while, haha. Surely going to be posting other stuff before that gets done (e.g. drabbles and the already mostly-done fic) and not sure how I would release it as well when I finish it. Something to worry about later I suppose!

    I see. Seems pretty interesting!

My fic is a bit of a weird one, I suppose. Mish-mash of ideas. The setting is a world which isn't stable and actual 'plotholes' can appear and affect events - but there's a company that is in charge of eradicating such plotholes. Someone meanwhile wants to write a story and requests help with it, only for it to go horribly wrong. =D

Why would one say noo about the sphere? Is it escaping? Or did it misbehave and is getting a telling off?

Comedy, guess some adventure is mixed in too. Life has been very distracting this past week - good sort of interruptions overall, but it's just been very busy. I can blame myself partly, haha. Already doing well though because I got a bunch of plotting resolved (or happened at all), so that's a success for me!

The writing's pretty solid, as far as anime goes. A few I thought it got really good at the end, but that might be just me haha. Definitely worth finishing up, if you find the time, imo

Haha, it's not really fixing computers, I'm clueless when it comes to that. I just learned to design the circuits and build the logic that makes the CPU work and the like.

Kaze No Stigma is one of my favorites All of the ones I'm really into are less well-known, but I do like some of the mainstream ones. Never got into Naruto either. Or One Piece, though I've tried to :c

    I majored in computer engineering

Normally Kaze no Stigma is the one that people haven't heard of xD

Yea, it really is. And I've graduated! I still want to go to grad school one day once I've paid off all my loans though.

Pascal x Hubert from Tales of Graces is my favorite ship ever <3 I just love them together way too much. I'm not sure if you've seen or heard of Kaze No Stigma, but Kazuma x Ayano is another one. Oh! And Fuu and Mugen in Samurai Champloo ^_^

That sounds pretty cool! Stinks about what happened with the application though :c Sometimes I wish schools would just do away with the whole snail mail thing and just accept applications online.

Ohhh yea, if I could dig up some of my old stuff. Most of it's a bunch of shipping stories, but hey, it's something!

Oh man, sounds like a busy workload o: What do you study, if you don't mind my asking?

Ah, sorry! I could have sworn I had already responded to this ^^; Yea, I'd love to see some of your stuff :D

I'm okay tonight, just a little tired haha. How are you?

Noosphere is an interesting name. And then I separate them into 'Noo, sphere!'.

I started one with NaNoWriMo, although given how busy I am with rl stuff it'll be just a chance to get a start and resolve the mess of ideas it has been (done somewhat!) and write a significant chunk of it (to be seen...).

That's understandable with looking forward to it... and juggling it with a bunch of other things including other writing projects, haha. What's the original work you mentioned?

Ah, nothing I'm confident enough to actually post, sadly. I've done a little bit here and there, but have never shared any of it. Maybe I'll get into it one day!

Cool. Good luck with writing it out!

I see. I haven't been to either of those although I know of Nsider. Or rather knew. =(

About Me

  • About SeleneHime
Hmm. How best to introduce myself? I'm a pre-med student with an incredibly incriminating search history and unfortunately less time to write than I'd like, and a novelist who has come back to where I started - fanfiction. Truth be told this is my second account, but my original went inactive years ago. Figured it'd be best to start fresh.

Due to time constraints, I won't be able to review as often as I'd like - in addition to the fact I'll still be working on my original fiction - but I am a fast reader, so if you have a story in mind that you think I'll like, feel free to throw it in my direction and I'll get to it sooner or later.

    LBGTQPIA friendly writer.

About my take on the Pokemon world ...

For most of my projects, it could be considered a blend of games, manga, and the anime - but also with more than a little bit of a dash of realism thrown in. Removing the game mechanics of limited move pools is one example, because forgetting a technique that you've mastered seems pretty sad when most species are portrayed as sentient/sapient, and usually fairly intelligent.

Another is that my trainers are mostly aged up to fifteen or above, mostly because when you really think about it, canon has the biggest case of mass-neglect in almost any fandom. Send your ten-year-old gallivanting across the countryside, with only an untrained little creature at their side, when there are so many risks? Sure~. With fifteen and above (or thirteen for junior license and summer hobby training until they're of age), the characters in question have more time to develop solid reasoning skills and critical thinking, as well as learning survival skills and fun, important things like that.

Last, but certainly not least among these examples, are tweaks to the ecological strata of pokemon species in general. Some of them are more or less rare (such as sheer popularity leading to previously endangered species - like eevee or clefairy - getting population rehabilitations and breeding programs), while also including subspecies variants. Canon evolution is actually cellular metamorphosis, rather like the process of caterpillars to butterflies, and is paired with a more Darwinian evolution and selective breeding. As result, there are everything from color mutations to actual breed differences within the same species. You can't tell I'm a nerd, can you?

-- I'm also pondering an alternate universe where magic is developing alongside technology, and that's spawned a few stories of it's own.
