I sometimes enjoy battling, but I'm a bit unorthodox. I believe in fun over all else: Pokemon is a game, so there's no point in playing for any reason but to have fun.
I like to think I have a talent for battling, and by "talent" I mean I sometimes manage to beat decent teams/battlers with horrible teams. XD
