    You should point out specifics of the story that you like. Instead of just saying "This is good", point out what in particular was good about that particular story. Like "This is good. I liked how you wrote [character]'s feelings toward [event]." Even that is better than a general "I like this."

    EDIT: In VMs, when somebody sends you one, you reply on his or her page, not yours.
