Nothing really concerned me harshly, I'm just very blunt. Like I said, I meant no offense, and your reply was very logical and well laid out. I see that you're an intelligent person, so I'll be curious to see if you can pull everything off. My main advice would be trying to find some tutorials which would suit you, and to familiarize yourself with the Pokemon Essentials kit. I can guarantee you, that with more experience and skills (also when showcasing some work), you'll get more and more people interested and wanting to help. It's nice that you can present yourself and your work eloquently; that helps a lot too. Haha, actually, there are too many people here who's first language is English, and they produce poorly constructed sentences. Believe me, I saw so many here commenting, and critiquing grammar and spelling.

So yeah, thanks for your reply, and good luck with your future endeavors. I'll be checking out your thread from time to time

The following post may not come across as friendly, but I mean no harm either. I'm also writing this here, as to not spam your thread, or start a "flame-war". I'm here to offer critique, which you may or may not want to hear.

I've recently informed myself about your game and was reading through the thread here. And I've noticed that your list for recruitment is rather large. I also noticed that you're recruiting people for almost every single thing, which brings me to my point: why would people want to join, when we don't really see what you contribute to the project. You are the "leader" of the project, and your position clearly states that you mainly do story concepts, and ideas. Besides that you also mention being an "Artwork Spriter", which I don't see anywhere anyway. You really can't go around the forums, expecting to get people with skills that satisfy your "taste" without ever showing anything that you could do. Why would I (for instance) want to help you, when the impression I get is that all the work-load falls on the team subordinates? I'm sorry, but some basic re-colours of sprites and Sugi-Artwork hardly counts as work, I can do that within seconds. At this point, the numerous "hires" you posted on the forum come off as spam.

Your thread does not contain a single (other) piece of work; a screenshot, maybe some custom sprites, some interface designs - there's nothing there. It's just a bunch of ideas, which are far too ambitious for a person with your skill set. If you really want to be a "game developer", and call yourself that, you need to start acquiring some skills of your own. Try to do some mapping, and try to improve first, before going out and asking for other people to do the work for you. Try to do some spriting of original characters, or even a bit of design and coding. It just seems like a lazy act on your part. Mapping (just an example) is one of the things that can be learnt easily through the use of RMXP and Essentials. There are good tutorials online, and good example maps in the kit. Also, a quick search on Google or DeviantART will get you plenty of good, modern, public tiles. That is just laziness on your part to: instead of trying to find a way around your limitation, just making a post asking for others to do that for you.

With others doing Mapping, Spriting, Composing, Designing, Coding...what is left for you to do? What is the point of developing a game if you just like to write fiction. Do that instead then: write literature. Remember that you guys are not a professional company, and trying to behave like one is just silly. It's good to aim for quality, but how about starting with yourself. Trying to improve the quality within your own work, before requesting it from others? Right now the quality is pretty average, and nothing exciting enough to make me (for instance) want to go join that team of yours. Keep that in mind. The people with more experience and better skill-sets would expect their team leader to be fluent (not necessarily perfect) in most aspects of the game-making process, splitting the work equally that way. It would also benefit you, as a game-dev, to broaden your skill-sets. No one really likes someone who expects them to be "on call" 24/7 because they cannot do much.

    Just some food for thought.

Heya, haven't heard anything from you in a while now... Anyway, how's the game progressing? Lemme know how I can help, okay?

I'm saying that it might also be used for Ambient. Why not? There must be SOMEWHERE this can be used.
